Hi Monisola and Obinnemaka , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Anumee Aesthetics was started from passion, experience, and the desire to create something better. After working in the commercial medspa industry, Obinne and I (Moni) saw firsthand where the patient experience was lacking. Treatments often felt rushed, education was missing, and many clients especially those with melanin-rich skin were not receiving personalized care or treatment plans designed with them in mind. We knew aesthetics could be done differently.
As two Nurse Practitioners with a shared vision, we decided to build a space where beauty, wellness, confidence, and education could coexist. Obinne brought strong management, operational, and business-building skills, while I brought leadership, advanced aesthetic training, and years of hands-on clinical experience. Together, our strengths created the foundation for what would become Anumee.
We built Anumee from the ground up through faith, sacrifice, long hours, determination, and an unwavering belief in our vision. What started as a dream became a mission-driven brand focused on helping people feel confident, empowered, and seen. We wanted every client to feel cared for not just treated.
For us, Anumee is bigger than aesthetics. It represents transformation, self-love, self-investment, and creating a luxury experience that still feels personal, inclusive, and intentional. Every service we offer is rooted in the belief that when people look good, they feel good and that confidence can truly change how someone moves through the world.
What makes us most proud is knowing we built this through sheer grit and determination. Every obstacle we faced only strengthened our vision and reminded us why we started in the first place.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building has been rewarding, but it has also come with significant challenges. As women entrepreneurs in the aesthetics industry, one of our biggest struggles has been building and scaling a luxury medical spa while balancing limited resources, long work hours, and the realities of entrepreneurship. Like many small business owners, we started with vision and determination before we had access to substantial capital or support systems.
We have faced challenges with funding, marketing costs, staffing, training, and trying to compete in an industry dominated by larger, heavily funded companies. There were seasons where we worked exhausting hours in healthcare while simultaneously building Anumee behind the scenes investing our own money, sacrificing personal time, and pouring everything we have into growing the business.
Another struggle was finding ways to maintain the level of quality, education, and patient care we believed clients deserved while navigating the fast-paced nature of the aesthetics industry. We refused to cut corners, and that meant spending extra time developing protocols, investing in advanced training, building compliant systems, and creating an experience that truly reflected our values.
We have also experienced the emotional side of entrepreneurship moments of self-doubt, burnout, fear of failure, and the pressure that comes with carrying the weight of a growing business. But every obstacle strengthened our resilience and forced us to become more innovative, disciplined, and intentional.
What kept us going was our belief in our mission, our faith, and the impact we knew Anumee could have on people’s confidence and self-worth. Every challenge became proof that we were building something meaningful, not just for ourselves, but for our community and the clients who trust us with their care.

We specialize in advanced aesthetic and wellness treatments Our services include laser hair removal, corrective skincare, microneedling, chemical peels, neurotoxins, fillers, skin rejuvenation, wellness treatments, and customized treatment plans tailored to each individual client. We are mostly known for laser hair removal.
We pride ourselves on creating an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and educated throughout their aesthetic journey instead of feeling rushed or treated like a number. Our goal has always been to combine results-driven treatments with genuine human connection. We are proud that our business has become a trusted space where people not only transform physically, but also regain confidence and self-esteem.
What sets us apart is that we do not believe beauty should be approached from a one-size-fits-all perspective. We bring both medical knowledge and lived experience into every treatment, allowing us to provide thoughtful, customized care rooted in safety, education, inclusivity, and empowerment. What are your plans for the future?
In the future, we plan to expand our service offerings by introducing more advanced technologies, wellness services, and corrective treatment options that continue to prioritize safety, inclusivity, and results for all skin types, especially melanin-rich skin. We also plan to grow our team by bringing on and mentoring talented providers who align with our values of excellence, compassion, and client-centered care.
One of our biggest goals is to become a recognized leader in aesthetic education and training. We want to provide hands-on mentorship and advanced training opportunities for nurses and aesthetic professionals entering the industry, especially those seeking more confidence and real-world experience. Creating opportunities for education, leadership, and professional growth within the aesthetics space is deeply important to us.
We also envision expanding Anumee beyond a single location and building a brand that is recognized not only for exceptional results, but for the experience, trust, and community we create. Long term, we want Anumee to become a household name associated with confidence, empowerment, land innovation.
Most importantly, we want our future growth to remain aligned with the reason we started helping people feel like the best version of themselves while building something meaningful that creates opportunities, inspires others, and leaves a lasting impact in our community.
