Hi Chathan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My real estate journey began in 2008. As a single mother of two daughters, I knew I needed to create a better future for my family. While sitting at my desk at my 9-to-5 job, I made the decision to enroll in real estate classes. After three months of hard work, I completed the courses and took the state licensing exam. It took me two attempts to pass, but I refused to give up.
Earning my real estate license was one of the proudest moments of my life. I continued working my full-time job while building my real estate business until six years ago, when I stepped out on faith and committed to real estate full time.
Today, I’m honored to be recognized as one of the top-producing real estate agents in Prince George’s County. My journey is proof that perseverance, faith, and determination can turn a dream into reality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Some of the struggles have been a down market and also when clients deals fall through

I am a full-time REALTOR® serving clients throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia, with a strong focus on Prince George’s County. I consider myself a calculated risk taker. I believe in stepping outside of my comfort zone when I know it will lead to growth and create opportunities for a better future. One of the biggest risks I ever took was earning my real estate license while working a full-time job and raising my two daughters as a single mother. Years later, I took an even bigger leap by leaving the security of my 9-to-5 career to pursue real estate full time.
That decision wasn’t based on luck—it was built on faith, preparation, and confidence in the business I had spent years building. Taking that risk has allowed me to become one of the top-producing real estate agents in Prince George’s County. My experience has taught me that the greatest rewards often come from having the courage to bet on yourself while making thoughtful, informed decisions.
