Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanté Davis.
Hi Chanté , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began with a deep calling to serve, create, and connect people in meaningful ways. I didn’t start with a clear blueprint—just faith, resilience, and a desire to turn life experiences into purpose. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: minister, life coach, creative, director, producer, and operations leader. Each role has shaped me and sharpened my understanding of how healing, storytelling, and leadership intersect.
I founded Connecting Lives Enterprises, LLC. to support individuals seeking clarity, growth, and direction through life coaching, and later launched Connecting Lives Productions Corporation as an extension of that mission—using film, theatre, and the performing arts to tell stories that spark healing, awareness, and hope. What started as small, passion-driven projects has grown into award-recognized films, stage productions, books, and community initiatives that reach audiences well beyond my local community.
Alongside my creative work, I’ve built a career in operations and compliance leadership within healthcare, which grounded me in structure, accountability, and service. Balancing creativity with operational discipline has been key to my growth and sustainability.
Today, I stand in a place of alignment—leading with faith, intention, and impact. My work is rooted in the belief that our stories matter and that purpose often emerges through perseverance. I’m still evolving, still learning, and still building—but everything I do is centered on one mission: connecting lives through faith, purpose, and meaningful storytelling.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many purpose-driven journeys, mine has been shaped by seasons of uncertainty, sacrifice, and resilience. I’ve faced moments where resources were limited, doors closed unexpectedly, and progress felt slower than the vision I carried. Balancing creativity with responsibility—especially while leading organizations, caring for family, and maintaining integrity—has required discipline and difficult choices.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust the process and be patient when results weren’t immediate. Building something meaningful takes time, and there were moments when I had to push past self-doubt, fatigue, and the pressure to explain a vision others couldn’t yet see. I also learned that leadership can be lonely, especially when you’re committed to doing things the right way rather than the easy way.
At the same time, those challenges became my greatest teachers. They strengthened my faith, refined my voice, and deepened my compassion for others navigating their own struggles. Every setback sharpened my purpose and reinforced why I do this work—not just to create, but to serve, heal, and uplift.
Looking back, I wouldn’t trade the hard seasons. They shaped my character, anchored my mission, and prepared me to lead with authenticity, wisdom, and grace.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work sits at the intersection of leadership, healing, and storytelling. I am a life coach, producer, writer, director, and operations leader, and I specialize in helping individuals and communities move from survival to purpose. Through Connecting Lives Enterprises, I provide life coaching, public speaking, real estate and notary services; all rooted in clarity, accountability, emotional intelligence, and faith-based growth. Through Connecting Lives Productions, I create films and stage productions that address real-life issues with honesty, compassion, and intention.
I’m best known for telling stories that don’t shy away from hard truths—stories centered on faith, resilience, trauma, healing, and restoration. Whether through film, theatre, or written work, my focus is always impact over spectacle. I want people to feel seen, challenged, and encouraged, not just entertained.
What I’m most proud of is building sustainable platforms that create space for transformation—both on and off the screen. I’ve had the privilege of producing award-recognized films, mentoring emerging artists, coaching individuals through major life transitions, and leading teams with integrity. Seeing people grow, find their voice, and step into purpose as a result of the work is the greatest reward.
What sets me apart is that I don’t separate creativity from responsibility or purpose from process. I bring structure, strategy, and operational discipline to creative work, and I bring compassion, faith, and storytelling to leadership. I lead from lived experience, not theory, and I’m committed to excellence without losing heart. Everything I do is rooted in service, authenticity, and the belief that when people are supported holistically, real change happens.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My biggest advice is to focus on building relationships, not collecting contacts. Mentorship and networking work best when they grow organically from genuine connection and shared values. Instead of leading with what you want, lead with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to learn.
What has worked well for me is being clear about who I am and what I’m building, while staying open to learning from people at every stage—not just those with titles or visibility. Some of my most impactful mentors didn’t come from formal programs; they emerged through consistent interaction, service, and mutual trust. Showing up prepared, following through, and honoring people’s time goes a long way.
I also believe in earned mentorship. When people see your work ethic, integrity, and consistency, they’re more inclined to invest in you. I’ve found that offering value—whether through support, collaboration, or simply showing up reliably—often opens doors more naturally than asking for them.
Finally, I trust timing and alignment. Not every connection is meant to be long-term, and that’s okay. Be teachable, stay authentic, and don’t underestimate the power of relationships built on purpose rather than proximity. The right mentors and collaborators will meet you where preparation and purpose intersect.
