Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Harris.
Tiffany , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my real estate career in 2014 while working full time in government. What began as a new opportunity became a passion, and in May 2018, I stepped out on faith and left my government job to pursue real estate full time. I saved my commissions for a year to prepare for that transition, but it still required courage and a willingness to bet on myself.
That journey eventually led me to brokerage ownership. Today, I’m the Broker/Owner of CENTURY 21 Harris & Company, where I’m building a business centered on relationships, agent development, and creating opportunities through real estate. Along the way, I also became involved in association leadership and now serve as the 2026 President of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS®.
Getting here has required sacrifice, resilience, and continuous learning. I’ve grown from focusing on my own success to helping other agents build sustainable businesses and advocating for our profession and communities. I’m still building, but I’m proud of the journey and the leader I’m becoming.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Leaving the security of a government job to pursue real estate full time meant learning how to navigate inconsistent income while carrying the responsibility of building a business. Becoming a broker brought another level of responsibility: supporting agents, managing expenses, and making difficult decisions while still working toward my own goals.
One of the biggest challenges has been financing the growth of the brokerage with my own resources. There have been times when I’ve had to prioritize what was most important and accept that everything couldn’t happen at once. I’ve also had to learn that caring about people and holding them accountable must go hand in hand.
Personally, the journey has challenged my confidence and taught me to trust my judgment. I’m learning to ask for support, set boundaries, and give myself grace while remaining accountable. A few years ago I borrowed this saying from a colleague, “We don’t panic, we pivot!” That doesn’t mean the challenges aren’t real; it means you keep finding a way forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Century 21 Harris & Company ?
I’m the Broker/Owner of CENTURY 21 Harris & Company, a real estate brokerage helping clients buy, sell, and invest in residential and commercial properties. We serve clients in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC, with strong roots in the Baltimore community. From first-time homebuyers to experienced investors and business owners, our goal is to give people the knowledge and support to make confident decisions.
What sets us apart is our approach to relationships and education. Real estate decisions can affect someone’s financial future, family, or livelihood, and we take that responsibility seriously. We help clients understand their options, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a strategy that supports their goals. I bring that same commitment to our agents through accessible leadership, training, support, and accountability.
I’m especially proud of the intention behind our brand. Our recent name change to CENTURY 21 Harris & Company is deeply personal to me. Having only my name on the business represents perseverance, responsibility, and the legacy I’m working to build. It reflects my commitment to creating a brokerage where people feel supported and are challenged to grow.
I want readers to know that whether you’re purchasing your first home, selling a property, exploring an investment, finding space for your business, or looking for a brokerage to grow your career, we welcome the opportunity to be part of your journey. We’re building a company grounded in service, meaningful relationships, and a belief in what’s possible for our clients, agents, and communities.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
The resources that help me most combine professional education, personal reflection, and connection with other people. In real estate, I turn to REALTOR® association education, industry updates, and leadership development opportunities. Staying informed helps me serve my clients, support my agents, and make thoughtful decisions as a business owner.
I also value conversations with other entrepreneurs and leaders. There’s something powerful about learning from someone who has faced similar challenges and is willing to share both the lessons and the mistakes.
Outside of work, my faith and time for reflection help keep me grounded. I’m learning that doing my best requires more than business knowledge; it also requires taking care of myself, protecting my peace, and making room for joy. The most useful resources help me grow as a whole person, because that influences how I show up everywhere else.
