Today we’d like to introduce you to KHILIK.
Hi KHILIK , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well I started making music when I was playing college football at bridgewater college. I was in the dorm room with my roommate and I was just playing around on bandlab making music. My first roommate brax was like my big first supporter in the music I was making on the phone. That point of time helped ignite the passion for me to create music and actually show it to the world. From that point forward I realized that making music was the vision I had seen for myself in the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course it hasn’t been a smooth road. I still go through the daily struggles of being an artist from the dmv trying to breakout. I will say that I have had big life changes that have put my music career on hold for some time but I’ve recently have found a way to breakout of that.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I obviously create music and do have a passion for acting. My main focus is music at this time. I make melodic hip hop/rap. I feel like I have accolades that I have been yet to attain but I am most proud of the journey to where I’m going and the process. I think what sets me apart is my authenticity that shows my true emotions and feelings.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I honestly don’t know. I don’t know what the future holds in this specific industry but I do know the impacts that I want to make.
