Meet Brianna Nolan of Maryland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Nolan.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey has always been a combination of science, creativity, wellness, and entrepreneurship. I’ve always been someone who wanted to understand how things work, create with my hands, and ultimately build something of my own.

I started the BriOrganics from a genuine love for organic skincare and wellness. What began as me experimenting with organic ingredients in my kitchen and creating products for myself gradually became a business. I wanted to create products that felt intentional—not just something you put on your skin, but part of a larger self-care experience.

Over time, I realized that my vision was much bigger than skincare alone. That led me to evolve the brand into BriOrganics Collective, with a more holistic focus on wellness, organic living, creativity, and community. I’ve been learning every part of the process myself—from product development and sourcing ingredients to branding, e-commerce, marketing, customer relationships, and figuring out how to scale.

At the same time, I’ve been building my education and professional experience in business and marketing while continuing to explore my interests in wellness, fitness, beauty, agriculture, and creative entrepreneurship. I’m really interested in the intersection of science, art, and wellness, and I think that combination is a big part of what makes my perspective unique.

There have definitely been moments when building a business felt overwhelming. I’ve had to learn how to keep going when things didn’t work, invest in myself before I felt completely ready, and become comfortable being a beginner. But every challenge has taught me something about myself as an entrepreneur.

Today, I’m focused on taking everything I’ve learned and building something much bigger than a skincare company. I want BriOrganics Collective to become a lifestyle and wellness platform rooted in intentional living, natural products, creativity, education, and community.

I’m still very much in the process of building, but that’s actually what I love about the journey. I’m not trying to present a perfectly finished story. I’m creating it in real time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. If anything, the journey has been jumpy but the views along the way have been absolutely beautiful. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build a business while also working, going to school, managing my finances, and figuring out what I actually want my life and career to look like.

There have been times when I’ve questioned whether I was moving fast enough or whether I was doing enough. Entrepreneurship can be isolating because there isn’t always someone telling you what the next step is—you have to create the roadmap yourself. I’ve had to learn through trial and error, especially when it comes to marketing, money, consistency, and growing a brand while still growing as a person.

I’ve also had to navigate periods of burnout and personal challenges that made it difficult to give my business the energy I wanted to. But those experiences taught me that building something sustainable isn’t just about working harder. It’s about learning how to take care of yourself, adapt, and keep moving without losing sight of why you started.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that an obstacle doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the wrong path. Sometimes it means you need to EVOLVE the approach.

Every challenge has seriously forced me to become more resourceful, more disciplined, and more confident in my own vision. I’m still learning, but I no longer expect the journey to be perfect. I’m learning to trust the process and keep building.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work lives at the intersection of science, wellness, beauty, art, and entrepreneurship. I’m a multidisciplinary creative and the founder of BriOrganics Collective, a wellness and organic skincare brand that I’ve built from the ground up.

I specialize in creating experiences around wellness—not just products. I develop handcrafted products, build the visual identity of my brand, create content, develop marketing concepts, photograph and style my work, and tell the story behind what I’m creating. I’m very hands-on with the creative process, from the ingredients and formulation to the packaging, branding, photography, social media, and customer experience.

What I’m most proud of is that I’ve created something that genuinely reflects who I am. BriOrganics Collective is an extension of my creativity and my philosophy around intentional living. I’m interested in making wellness feel beautiful, accessible, artistic, and personal.

I also see myself as a scientist, artist, and creative, rather than putting myself into one category. My background and interests allow me to approach creativity from multiple perspectives. I’m fascinated by natural ingredients, agriculture, beauty, movement, wellness, visual storytelling, and business—and I love finding ways to connect those worlds.

What sets me apart is that I’m not interested in simply following an existing formula. I’m constantly experimenting, learning, reimagining, and building. I want my work to feel distinctly mine.

Ultimately, I’m creating more than a product line. I’m building a creative world around wellness, nature, self-expression, and intentional living, and I’m still expanding what that can look like.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are our family holidays. They were about so much more than the holidays themselves—they were how I learned about my family’s traditions, culture, food, and the importance of community.

One tradition I especially loved was making my Grandma’s sugar cookie recipe for Christmas. We would make hundreds of cookies and give them out to family, friends, and people in our community. I loved the entire process—the baking, the creativity, being surrounded by family, and ultimately sharing something we had made with other people. Looking back, I think that was one of my earliest experiences understanding that something you create can also be a way of bringing people together.

I also loved having Saturday “girls’ days” with my mom. She introduced me to the beauty and self-care side of life—taking care of yourself, getting ready, trying different beauty rituals, and making those moments feel special. I think a lot of my love for beauty, wellness, and creating experiences around self-care started there.

And then there were the nights I spent looking up at the stars with my dad. Those moments sparked a completely different kind of curiosity in me. I became fascinated by the sky, nature, and the world beyond what I could immediately see. That curiosity eventually led me to studying environmental geoscience and astronomy, working/spending more time in state parks and exploring the outdoors.

When I look back, I can see pieces of my childhood in almost everything I’m doing now. My family taught me to create, to care for myself and others, to honor where I come from, to appreciate God’s beautiful land, and to stay curious about the world. I think those early experiences shaped the scientist, artist, and entrepreneur I’m becoming today.
