Decor By Bee wasn’t something I set out to build. it was something that found me in the quiet moments of life. Decorating started as a passion, a peaceful escape, something that brought me joy when everything else felt heavy. It became my therapy.
I began with small setups, family events, baby showers, birthdays. I did it from the heart, not expecting anything in return. But people started to notice. Friends would say, “You should do this for real.”Especially my husband, my friend and niece. And slowly, I began to believe them and took their advice That’s how Decor By Bee was born out of love, creativity, and healing.
My name is Beatrice, and “Bee” is my nickname. I started with Decoration By Beatrice, but it felt too long, so I kept it simple, Decor By Bee. It’s personal, it’s meaningful, and every detail reflects who I am.
But the journey has not been easy. I’ve lost friendships. I’ve been disappointed by the silence of people I thought would support me. Even family didn’t always cheer me on. That hurt more than I can explain. For a while, I questioned myself. I wondered if I was doing too much, or if I wasn’t good enough. That was painful, but it taught me something important, I don’t need validation from those close to me when there are people out there who truly appreciate what I do. I don’t need applause from everyone. The right people see me. The ones who believe in me, even from afar, have kept me going.
Today, I run Decor By Bee with pride, bringing creativity, care, and excellence to every event. I’m still growing, still learning, but I’m grateful for how far I’ve come. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I know I’ll get there one day. Step by step, I’m building something meaningful.

No, it hasn’t been a smooth road.
Behind the beautiful setups and smiling photos are real struggles most people never see. There were times I felt invisible, posting my work, hoping for support, and hearing nothing in return. Even people I expected to cheer me on stayed silent. That kind of disappointment cuts deep. The silence was loud. It made me question myself. I wondered, “Am I doing something wrong? Am I not good enough?”
Some months came and went without a single booking. I’d question everything, Am I good enough? Should I keep going? It felt like all the effort I poured into this dream wasn’t being seen or valued. I cried, I prayed, I almost gave up. And when you have bills to pay and a family depending on you, that silence hits even harder.
There were financial challenges, moments of doubt, and the emotional weight of trying to stay motivated when nothing was moving. I even lost relationships, friends I thought would be proud of me slowly drifted away.
But through it all, I kept going. I reminded myself why I started. Every setback has shaped me into who I am today, more resilient, more creative, and more focused.
No, it hasn’t been easy. But every slow season, every quiet month, every hard lesson has pushed me to grow. And I know I’m just getting started. I have faith and with GOD , EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE . I may not be where I want to be yet, but I know I’m on the path He set for me. In Isaiah 60:22, God said ‘”When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”Waiting can feel long. But in God’s perfect timing, what you’ve been hoping for will arrive and it will be worth every moment you waited in faith.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always drawn to beauty, organization, and nature. One of my fondest childhood memories is staying with my brother in Assin Foso in the Central Region of Ghana while he was in the process of building his home. Although the house was still unfinished, I began planting flowers around it, imagining that by the time it was complete, the flowers would be fully grown and in bloom. I’ve always loved decorating, planting flowers, and creating order in spaces, driven by a desire to make environments feel welcoming and beautiful. This passion was deeply influenced by my mother, whose love for flowers was unwavering. She nurtured and protected her plants with great care, even when resources were limited. Her devotion to beauty and nature shaped my perspective and continues to inspire the thoughtful, intentional approach I bring to every space I create.
