Today we’d like to introduce you to Walter Carter III.
Hi Walter, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Great Day,
My name is Walter Carter III, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and I am the creator of AnabolicEyE. In early 2023, I started buying and selling designer and vintage pieces. Through reselling, I began to understand the value and power of branding: how an idea, identity, and story can transform the way people experience a product.
That July, I was in a local pop-up event and got invited to become part of the shop behind it. I realized that I had something of value to contribute, and the opportunity gave me a physical location to conduct my resale business while also providing access to the machinery and knowledge used to create clothing.
For the next three months, I observed, researched, experimented, and taught myself how to design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Around that time, while reading The 48 Laws of Power, a book I originally learned about through Nipsey Hussle, I came across the word anabolic. I became curious and researched its meaning. I learned that anabolism refers to the processes through which the body builds complex molecules, while catabolism involves breaking them down. AnabolicEyE was brought to life Nov. of 2023.
AnabolicEyE is the “Vision of More Life,” pushing a movement and mentality to respond to life’s challenges with MORE LIFE.
MORE LIFE is represented through the shroom, drawn by myself. I connected with the fact that shrooms grow from fungi, bacteria and environments most people would look at as ugly. I related that back to us because a lot of us come from the ugliest parts of life too. Bad environments, hard situations, setbacks, whatever it may be. But just like the shroom, life can still grow from some of the worst conditions. Same as us.
By April 2024, six months later, I removed myself from the shop and proceeded with what I had. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I had the knowledge I picked up, my designs, my vision and the mentality to keep building.
June 2024, I went to ATL showcasing AnabolicEyE at the Rick Ross Car Show, where I met Johnny Dang, Slim Thug and DJ Sam Sneak, all while wearing a 1 of 1 custom AnabolicEyE piece that still hasn’t been released to this day.
A few weeks later I met 19Keys, gifting him a 1 of 1 unreleased piece at a networking event hosted by Keenan Beasley with Venture Noire titled “KC’s Playbook”. In June of 2025 at just a year and a half later, I partnered with my 1st physical store location Ayo Boutique located in Baltimore, MD.
August 2025, I met West Coast legend Spice 1 during a weekend visit back home in KC and gifted him a black pair of the “Score Shorts.” This past March, I met Yung Joc at an event in Baltimore with Ayo Boutique and gifted him a couple “EyE Caps.”
More recently, because of the brand, I got to experience New York for the first time in my life, being part of a vending event in the Bronx. That meant something to me because I’m gradually watching something I created continue to put me in rooms, places and experiences that are brand new to me.
Piece by piece, I’ve continued to create and lean into my own mantra of MORE LIFE, attacking life’s lessons and tests day by day. I’m spreading the mentality of More Life through demonstration, not just words, and translating that same mentality into high-quality fabrics and pieces made to last.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. Change of locations, finding ways to balance your life & your business, learning about costs or processes required for business that you were unaware of, all of that comes with it.
But I think most of all, I learned there’s no time limit on building your dream. When it’s something you’re passionate about or something you genuinely love doing, it all just becomes part of the journey. It’s not really too much of an obstacle, it’s more so a test.

I’m versatile when it comes to creativity overall. If I’m interested in something, I’m not afraid to learn more about it or try it myself. I’m a car guy, so paying attention to details and making sure things run smoothly is naturally my focus and intention in most of everything I do.
I’m also big on family and the people I got love for. I genuinely want to see everybody eat. If I’m building and creating opportunities for myself, I want the people around me to be able to grow and experience More Life too.
