I’m Dr. Melissa Derisca, HHP, DDIV, DHUM, founder of Melissa Derisca Enterprise LLC and the Dr. Melissa Derisca HHP Office. My journey into holistic health and wellness began at a very young age through personal struggle, faith, and divine guidance.
As a child, I battled asthma and was constantly on medication. One of the most life-changing moments in my life happened when I was around 8 years old during a severe asthma attack when I did not have access to my inhaler. I remember using honey on a paper towel to help regulate my breathing. That moment stayed with me deeply because it was the first time I truly understood the healing power found in nature. I believe God was revealing purpose to me even then, and through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, I began to see healing differently.
That experience inspired my lifelong passion for natural healing, holistic wellness, and helping others restore their mind, body, and spirit. Over the years, I pursued education and earned my credentials as a Doctor of Divinity (DDIV) and Doctor of Humanities (DHUM), while also becoming a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP). My mission has always been bigger than business — it is about service, healing, faith, and legacy.
Through prayer, consistency, and dedication, I built Melissa Derisca Enterprise LLC into a wellness-centered company focused on empowering the community through holistic health education, Christian counseling, nutrition coaching, movement therapies, and faith-based wellness services. I was also blessed with the opportunity to participate in the Nasdaq 12-week entrepreneurial program, which helped strengthen my vision as a business owner and expand my understanding of leadership and growth.
Today, I am proud to operate a brick-and-mortar wellness location where individuals can come for healing, guidance, education, and empowerment. Everything I do is rooted in faith, compassion, and purpose. I truly believe God uses my hands, my experiences, and my testimony to help others on their healing journey. My goal is to leave a lasting impact through care, excellence, and by reminding people that healing is possible spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically through God’s wisdom and natural living.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but every challenge helped shape me into the woman, healer, and entrepreneur I am today. One of my earliest struggles was growing up sickly and dealing with asthma as a child. Being dependent on medication at such a young age was difficult, but it also pushed me to seek deeper answers about health and healing. That journey led me closer to God and strengthened my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
As I began building my business, I faced many obstacles — lack of resources, limited access to commercial kitchen space, financial challenges, and the pressure of balancing entrepreneurship, ministry, family, and community service. There were times when people did not fully understand my vision for natural healing and holistic wellness, especially when I first started. I had to work hard to educate others while also proving myself as a professional in this field.
Opening and maintaining a brick-and-mortar location also came with sacrifices, long hours, and learning experiences. There were moments of exhaustion, uncertainty, and setbacks, but I never gave up because I knew God gave me this assignment. Participating in the Nasdaq 12-week program also challenged me to grow as a leader, think bigger, and operate my business at a higher level.
Through every obstacle, my faith remained my foundation. I truly believe that every struggle was preparation for purpose. Those experiences taught me resilience, discipline, compassion, and how to serve others from a place of authenticity and care. Today, I’m grateful for the journey because it allows me to connect with people not just professionally, but personally and spiritually as well.

I am the founder of Melissa Derisca Enterprise LLC and the Dr. Melissa Derisca HHP Office, a faith-based holistic wellness and empowerment company dedicated to helping individuals heal mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. My business was created from both personal experience and purpose. After overcoming many health struggles as a child, I developed a passion for natural healing and helping others discover healthier ways to care for themselves through education, lifestyle changes, and faith-centered wellness.
At the core of what we do is holistic health and community empowerment. We specialize in holistic wellness coaching, Diet & Nutrition coaching, Christian counseling, life coaching, scriptural meditation, Gospel Aerobics, Open Heaven Tai Chi, Christian yoga, women’s empowerment programs, sister circles, and wellness education. We also provide a safe and uplifting environment through our brick-and-mortar office where people can come to receive support, guidance, healing-centered services, and encouragement.
What truly sets me apart is that everything I do is rooted in God, compassion, and authenticity. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. I believe healing starts from within, and I strive to help people address the mind, body, and spirit together. My journey as a Holistic Health Practitioner, combined with my faith and my degrees as a DDIV and DHUM, allows me to approach people with both spiritual understanding and practical wellness guidance.
I’m also proud that my brand has grown organically through trust, care, consistency, and community impact. Being selected to participate in the Nasdaq 12-week entrepreneurial program was a major milestone because it showed me that my vision could grow beyond what I originally imagined. I’m proud that people know my brand for genuine care, empowerment, professionalism, and creating spaces where healing and transformation can happen.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along my journey is the importance of trusting God’s timing and remaining faithful even when the path is uncertain. There were many moments where I faced obstacles, setbacks, financial challenges, and situations that tested my strength, but I learned that purpose requires perseverance. Every challenge was preparing me, strengthening me, and teaching me lessons I would later use to help others.
I’ve also learned that healing is deeper than the physical body. True wellness involves the mind, body, and spirit working together. Many people are searching for healing, peace, direction, and purpose, and I’ve learned how important it is to lead with compassion, patience, and authenticity.
Another major lesson has been understanding that consistency and genuine care matter more than perfection. Building Melissa Derisca Enterprise LLC and the Dr. Melissa Derisca HHP Office taught me that when you operate with integrity, faith, and a heart to serve, people feel that. I’ve learned to never underestimate the power of obedience to God, community support, and staying committed to the vision even when growth takes time.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that my testimony is part of my assignment. The struggles I experienced — from childhood asthma to entrepreneurship challenges — were not meant to break me, but to position me to inspire, educate, and uplift others through faith, wellness, and healing.
