Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Justis.
Hi Morgan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Of course! Made by Morgan J. is my truly my baby. It started from something so simple, my love for crafting. I’ve always been the kind of girl who sees the beauty in everything, even things most people would consider trash. I began making fun, fabulous crafts for my family and friends using upcycled materials and really whatever I had around me. What started as gifts made with love grew into something so much bigger.
Creating has always been more than just a hobby for me, it’s how I get to express myself to the world. I love transforming ordinary things into something beautiful, meaningful, and mostly importantly fabulous. There’s something powerful about taking something overlooked and turning it into art.
As I grew, so did the vision. Made by Morgan J. became not just a customs brand, but about confidence, creativity, and empowerment. We represent resourcefulness, individuality, and the idea that you can build something amazing from what you already have.
What started at my kitchen table is now growing into a brand rooted in passion, community, and purpose. And babes this is only the beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not – and I honestly don’t think entrepreneurship is meant to be. Nothing about building a business is easy, especially when you’re doing it from the ground up.
Balancing a full-time job while preparing for pop ups, creating inventory, testing new ideas, and still trying to maintain a social life has been a BIG challenge. There were many late nights and early mornings where I choose business over fun. Another struggle was perfecting my products. I went through countless prototypes before I felt confident enough to sell certain products. I’m a little particular about my craft and I learned a lot of patience through the process.
There were moments of self-doubt and exhaustion, but every challenge strengthened my vision. Each obstacle taught me a lot about time management, resilience, and believing in myself. It hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been worth it. And I’ve loved every part of the journey because it’s shaping me into not only a better business owner, but a stronger woman.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in handcrafted, mixed media creations. I work with clay, paint, gemstones, upcycled materials, and various art mediums to bring my vision to life. My brand lives at the intersection of creativity and craftsmanship, whether it’s wearable art, custom accessories, or one-of-a-kind statement pieces.
I’m known for creating unique, custom pieces that feel personal and bold. If you’re looking for something that doesn’t look like what everyone else has, something expressive, something fabulous, something made with intention, I’m the girl to call.
What I’m most proud of is the upcycling aspect of my business. I love taking items that might be overlooked or discarded and transforming them into something beautiful. Being able to reduce waste while creating art that makes people feel confident is deeply fulfilling for me.
What sets me apart is my determination, versatility, and style. I’m not afraid to experiment with different materials or push creative boundaries. I don’t follow trends; I create pieces that reflect individuality and personality. My clients aren’t just buying a product, they’re buying a piece of my vision, my heart, and my commitment to quality.
Any big plans?
The future of Made by Morgan J. is all about expansion and intention. I’m currently working on expanding beyond accessories into apparel, starting with statement t-shirts that reflect the creativity and confidence my brand represents. This is my step into streetwear and wearable messaging, pieces that allow people to express themselves boldly and authentically.
I also plan to broaden my accessory line beyond lighters and smaller crafts, introducing more signature pieces that continue to reflect my mixed-media style. One thing that will remain at the heart of my brand is upcycling. I plan to create dedicated drops featuring one of a kind upcycled art pieces and custom crafts. These pieces will be limited, intentional, and rooted in sustainability, giving new life to items that might otherwise be discarded.
Long term, I see Made by Morgan J. becoming more than just a product-based business. I envision hosting creative and empowerment focused events, building community, and creating spaces where women and artist feel inspired, supported, and seen.
