Daily Inspiration: Meet Mary Orzano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Orzano.

Mary, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Thought it would be a great fit for the community. Had my 3 child late in life and wanted a place where I could work and also take my daughter with me. It worked for me and we have been open for 2o years now.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, not smooth at all. Small businesses don’t get very good tax breaks. With all the taxes, overhead, rent, etc. it’s not easy. Covid 19 and the promises that were made to small business were not kept! Almost took us out. We have struggled a lot, but I’m always pushing through. We have to keep up on all trends. Keep things, fresh, new and exciting. Come up with new events, demo’s and new pottery weekly. But, I wouldn’t of traded it for anything. Met some very nice people, employees and customers.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a paint your own pottery studio. We offer events, ladies nights, parties, fundraising and more. We love to give back. Many of our events we charge a ticket fee of $10.00 and that goes to the charity we are working with for the event. We have had paint with Kitties, Doggies. and Bunnies. Giving exposure to the organization to help get the animals adopted and money to take care of them. I think we offer the best customer service. We try hard to make sure everyone has a great time while they paint with us.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Need to be a strong person. If you fail at something you need to learn from that and keep trying. Keep thinking and giving it your all.
