Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Nolan.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Patrick and I didn’t start our business with a grand plan—we started it with a shared love for people, stories, and the moments that matter most.
What began as a passion for photography grew into a partnership built on trust, creativity, and a deep respect for marriage, family, and legacy. Over the past decade, we’ve photographed hundreds of weddings together, learning that the most beautiful images aren’t just well-lit or perfectly composed—they’re rooted in connection, emotion, and intention.
Patrick brings a steady, thoughtful presence and a filmmaker’s eye for story. I bring intuition, leadership, and a heart for guiding couples through one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Together, we balance artistry with calm, direction with flexibility, and creativity with care.
Our business is more than a brand—it’s an extension of our life. Built while raising a family, navigating seasons of growth, and learning what truly lasts, our work reflects what we value most: authenticity, joy, and moments worth remembering.
We don’t just document weddings—we serve couples, support families, and tell stories that will be held for generations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Patrick and I didn’t build our business in a straight line.
We built it through newborn seasons and sleepless nights, learning how to balance growing a family while serving our couples well. We built it through the uncertainty of a global pandemic that reshaped weddings, livelihoods, and the way people gather. And we’ve continued building through shifting economic tides—adapting, refining, and recommitting to our craft as the industry and world evolved around us.
There were seasons that required more grace than growth, more resilience than momentum. Seasons where balance felt elusive and faith did the heavy lifting. But each challenge clarified what mattered most: people over pressure, presence over perfection, and longevity over quick wins.
Those experiences didn’t slow us down—they shaped us.
Today, our work is rooted in steadiness, empathy, and perspective. We show up not just as creatives, but as partners who understand the weight and beauty of the moments we’re trusted to document—because we’ve lived through change ourselves.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What we do/Who are we? Patrick and I are a husband-and-wife wedding photography and filmmaking team. We specialize in documenting weddings with a refined, emotional, and timeless approach—capturing not just how a day looks, but how it feels. Our work lives at the intersection of artistry and leadership: beautiful imagery paired with calm direction and thoughtful guidance.
What are you known for?
We’re known for creating a sense of ease. Couples often tell us they felt truly supported—like someone had their back all day. We’re deeply experienced in navigating complex timelines, family dynamics, and high-emotion moments, all while delivering imagery that is elegant, honest, and enduring.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the longevity of our business and the way we’ve built it with integrity. We’ve weathered major life seasons—growing our family, navigating the pandemic, and adapting to economic shifts—without compromising our values or the quality of our work. Serving hundreds of couples over the years and being trusted with moments that can’t be redone is something I never take lightly.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is perspective. We don’t just show up as creatives—we show up as leaders, problem-solvers, and steady presences. With over a decade of experience, we anticipate moments before they happen, guide when needed, and step back when the story deserves space. Our clients aren’t just investing in photos or film—they’re investing in peace of mind, wisdom, and a team that understands the weight of legacy.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
haha not in this season with babies and 4 under 8, and a 1 year old. Too busy!
