Today we’d like to introduce you to Honest Lee Soul.
Honest Lee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We started as a duo and have evolved into a 5 member band. On special occasions we’ll add background singers and/or a horn section.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s always challenges, but we learned along the way. We’re still learning. We’ve had to learn how to negotiate pay, execute contracts, and coordinate the schedules of five different members, We’ve learned how to write songs together, and how to captivate an audience. We’ve all had to learn each other on personal levels and sometimes that involves some tough conversations and decisions. You don’t always get it right, but you figure out what went wrong and how to improve.
