Conversations with Victoria Eyland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Eyland.

Hi Victoria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
With over 30 years in the fashion and sports apparel industries, movement has always been at the center of my life — from swimming and ballet to competitive horseback riding.

After a series of neck and shoulder surgeries, even everyday movement became a challenge. In 2017, I discovered Reformer Pilates, and what began as a personal path to healing quickly became a passion.

Through consistent practice, I became stronger, more flexible, and more connected to my body than I had been in years. Although I never planned to become an instructor, the transformation I experienced inspired me to earn my certification and help others experience those same benefits.

After losing my role as a Senior Director of Visual Merchandising, I returned to teaching Pilates while searching for my next career move. It didn’t take long to realize that supporting and empowering others was exactly where I was meant to be. At the same time, I knew I didn’t want to leave behind my passion for visual merchandising, fashion, and organization. That realization became the foundation for Reset Collective.

Through Reset Collective, I support people navigating life transitions — whether recovering from surgery, moving through menopause, or simply seeking a fresh start.

By combining personalized Pilates instruction with compassionate coaching, wardrobe styling, and closet organization, I help clients rebuild confidence from the inside out. My approach is grounded in empathy, style, and the belief that small, intentional changes can create meaningful transformation.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The past two years have been filled with uncertainty and many “what ifs,” but through it all, I’ve known I was exactly where I needed to be. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to grow my client base primarily through word of mouth, something I’m truly grateful and humbled by.

Of course, there are moments when I miss the stability of a corporate environment, but seeing the positive changes in my clients — watching them grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves — has made every sacrifice worthwhile.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I founded Reset Collective just over a year ago as a way to bring together my passion for movement, style, organization, and helping others feel their best.

Reset Collective offers personalized concierge services, including private and duo Reformer and Mat Pilates, as well as wardrobe styling and closet organization.

My Pilates studio is a calm, light-filled space designed to provide focus, comfort, and individualized attention. The studio is fully equipped with traditional Pilates apparatus, including two Balanced Body Allegro Reformers with Towers and an EXO Chair, allowing me to create sessions tailored to each client’s needs and goals.

In addition to Pilates, I offer Wardrobe Audits and Closet Organization services rooted in over 30 years of experience in fashion and visual merchandising. These sessions are designed to help clients simplify their wardrobes, refine their personal style, and create spaces that feel functional, inspiring, and aligned with their current lifestyle.

Together, we work to:

• Edit and streamline wardrobes
• Create new looks using existing pieces
• Identify styles and silhouettes that feel authentic and flattering
• Organize closets for ease, clarity, and everyday flow
• Thoughtfully fill wardrobe gaps through personalized shopping support

Whether a client is recovering from surgery, navigating menopause, entering a new chapter of life, or simply seeking a reset, my goal is to help them feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves.

What I’m most proud of is that I built Reset Collective entirely on my own — from creating my website and designing the brand to personally investing in all of my studio equipment and growing my business through word of mouth. It has been a true labor of love, built with passion, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support system that has encouraged me throughout this journey.

My partner, Josh, has been by my side through every stage of this transition — especially after I lost my job. His unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me gave me the confidence to take this leap and build something of my own.

I’m equally grateful for Jamie, a former boss and longtime mentor who continues to be an invaluable source of guidance and encouragement. Even after we stopped working together, Jamie remained someone I could turn to for advice, brainstorming, and honest perspective. His mentorship has played a meaningful role in both my personal and professional growth.

And most importantly, my clients — many of whom have been with me since the very beginning. Their trust, loyalty, and support mean more than I can express. Sarah recently celebrated her 100th class with me and has also referred new clients my way. Alex has been not only a Pilates and organization client, but also a trusted sounding board throughout this process. Tracie shows up twice a week, rain or shine, driving over an hour each way just to train with me.

The relationships I’ve built through Reset Collective are truly the heart of what I do, and I’m endlessly grateful for every person who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way.
