Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Lewis.
Tiffany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Taylor & Jessie® started as a very personal idea rooted in my own need for more grace in how I planned my days. Before entrepreneurship, I spent 15 years in education as a teacher and school leader. I loved the work, but like so many women, I was juggling a lot, career, family, goals, and the constant pressure to do it all without slowing down.
In 2020, I stepped away from the classroom to pursue entrepreneurship full time, driven by a desire for freedom of time, creativity, and impact. While building my marketing business, I noticed a gap in the stationery space. So many planners were focused on productivity at all costs, but very few made room for mental health, rest, and reflection.
That is where Taylor & Jessie® was born in 2022. What started as a simple planner idea grew into an everyday lifestyle stationery brand designed to help women crush their goals while protecting their mental health. Every product, from planners to notebooks to intentional paper goods, is created to feel supportive, not demanding. Low pressure. High intention.
Today, Taylor & Jessie® serves busy, multi faceted women who want structure without burnout and motivation without guilt. The brand continues to evolve, but the heart remains the same, helping women plan lives they actually enjoy living, one page at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Coming from a non-product-based background, I did not fully understand what it would take to build and sustain a physical product business. Taylor & Jessie® recently turned four, and I am still learning and refining along the way.
There have been challenges around manufacturing, inventory management, cash flow, and decision-making, especially in the early stages. There were moments of uncertainty and growing pains that required patience, resilience, and a willingness to adapt.
Looking back, those challenges shaped both the brand and me as a founder. They taught me how to slow down, trust the process, and build with intention. While the journey has not been easy, it has been deeply meaningful, and every season has helped clarify the kind of business and life I want to create.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At its core, Taylor & Jessie® is an everyday lifestyle stationery brand designed to help women plan their lives with intention while prioritizing their mental health. We create planners, notebooks, and paper goods that offer structure without pressure and support without overwhelm.
What we are known for is our low-pressure approach to planning. Our products are not about doing more or pushing harder. They are designed to meet women where they are and encourage reflection, rest, and realistic goal setting. Every detail is created with the understanding that productivity and wellness can and should coexist.
What I am most proud of is building a brand that feels supportive rather than demanding. Hearing from customers who say our products helped them slow down, reduce anxiety around planning, or reconnect with their goals in a healthier way means everything to me.
What sets Taylor & Jessie® apart is that the brand was built from lived experience. My background in education and my journey as a working mother and entrepreneur deeply shape how we design our products. We lead with intention, empathy, and simplicity, creating tools that support real life, not just ideal routines.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice is to keep the faith and trust the process. That is something one of my coaches shared with me early on in my marketing business, and it has stayed with me through every season of building Taylor & Jessie®.
When you are just starting out, it is easy to look for certainty, validation, or quick wins. What I wish I had known sooner is that clarity comes from action, not from having everything figured out ahead of time. Growth often happens quietly and slowly before it ever becomes visible.
There will be moments when progress feels unclear or when things do not move as quickly as you hoped. Those moments are not signs that you are doing it wrong. They are part of the process of learning, refining, and becoming the kind of founder your business needs.
If I could tell my earlier self anything, it would be to move with patience and intention. Build at a pace that allows you to listen, learn, and adjust. Keep showing up even when the path feels uncertain, and trust that every step is shaping something meaningful, even when you cannot see it yet.
