Conversations with Kasey Reinhardt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Reinhardt.

Hi Kasey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Let’s go back to January 2025… I had been looking for a “side hustle” or project for some time that I could call my own but was unsure where to start. I stumbled upon a reel of someone making photo magnets. I instantly thought that was something I could do. I have always love taking photos of family, my daughter, dogs, etc. and displaying them in our home so I thought this was a perfect way to bridge my love of photos and a fun way to display them.

I did a lot of research on how to start a business, what equipment I wanted to use, and how to set up the website. I also did the fun things like decide on a business name, pick brand colors, and imagine what my market booth would look like. It took a little bit of time before I was ready to post and actually put myself out there for everyone to see but I finally launched my business in June 2025.

Ive maintained posting daily (only missing 6 days since June 2025) on social media, been a vendor at 15-ish markets, and learned how to talk to random people about my business. It hasn’t always been easy to juggle working full time, being a mom, having a life, and running a business but I’ve fallen into a good rhythm.

I have to take a little time to mention my husband, Chris. Without him, none of this would be happening. He has supported me from day one, is there at every market (not just helping setup and taking down) working with customers and being the best hype guy. Whether it’s I’m working in the website, creating reels for social media, or making magnets late at night, he’s there supporting me.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Imposter syndrome has been a huge issue. There are so many other business owners that talk about their successes and not many that talk about their failures. I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking I don’t belong, don’t have the newest ideas, or have bitten off more than I can chew. I snap out of it after a few hours of sulking, but it still happens every once in a while.

After starting my business, I learned how many other magnet makers there are. The market feels saturated at times so standing out is important. I will never speak poorly about another creator because i know the struggle they are also facing so instead i focus on what makes me different. I’m born and raised from Maryland, I’m sarcastic and cuss like a sailor, I’m a working mom and wife. So I focus on things that would pull me in. Like wanting to preserve all my daughter’s special moments as she grows up. My premade designs focus on Maryland things and silly sayings. And I use that and hope people find me and connect with those things.
I’m also not great with technology so setting up a website is hard! And even though my website is live, I’m constantly wanting to tweak it and make it better. I’m actually working on something right now to add to my website and I’ve spent around 5 hours trying to figure out the code and it still isn’t right.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Love Made Magnets focuses on taking your favorite photo memories, whether it be a momentous occasion (think weddings, babies, graduations) or the random Tuesday summer night spent at pop’s house and making them into something you can see every day. We focus on seeing the joy that life has to offer, it’s just on a magnet right there on your fridge.

In the last year, we’ve grown from magnets to also offering coasters and pins. We have over 300+ premade magnet designs that we take with us to markets.

At our markets, we offer our custom orders as well. We take our entire setup with us…laptop, printer, all magnet presses and punches, everything we need we to make in front of customers, we bring it. People LOVE seeing their photos come to life and they appreciate it being from someone local.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love working with customer on special requests. Just recently I worked with a customer for a Celebration of Life and Baby Shower magnet, another customer wanted to create special wedding favors, and another wanted pins to help celebrate the launch of his comic book. The collaboration between the customers and I is so important. They have a vision of how they want to use my magnets and I love bringing it to life.

The easiest thing that customers can do is recommend me to their friends and family or share my content on social media. the more people that know what I do, the more opportunities there are.
