Hi Danielle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has never followed a straight line, and I think that’s what has made it so meaningful.
For more than two decades, I built a career in public service with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where I worked in policy, leadership, and strategic initiatives focused on improving systems and serving communities. At the same time, I nurtured a lifelong passion for design, eventually founding The Styled Hause to create spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
In 2025, my life took an unexpected turn when I lost my federal position during a workforce reduction. What could have been the end of one chapter became the beginning of another. I made the decision to bet on myself and pursue entrepreneurship full time, transforming what had started as a passion into a thriving business.
Today, I serve as the Founder and CEO of The Styled Hause, leading residential, commercial, and hospitality design projects that tell meaningful stories through thoughtful, elevated interiors. Alongside design, I continue to work in real estate and strategic consulting, helping clients solve complex challenges while building lasting relationships.
My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and the belief that setbacks often create space for something greater. Every challenge, from career transitions to personal loss, has reinforced my purpose: to create beauty, build businesses that make an impact, and inspire others to embrace reinvention with confidence. I hope my story reminds people that it’s never too late to start over, and that sometimes the greatest opportunities come from the moments we never would have chosen ourselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced moments that tested both my confidence and my resilience. Professionally, transitioning from a successful 22-year federal career into full-time entrepreneurship required a complete shift in mindset. Suddenly, I was responsible not only for doing the work I loved but also for building a business, generating clients, managing cash flow, leading a team, and making difficult decisions every day.
On a personal level, I have navigated significant loss and life-changing experiences that reshaped my perspective. Losing my mother, rebuilding my life after divorce, and navigating the unknowns has taught me that success isn’t measured only by professional accomplishments, it’s also measured by your ability to keep moving forward when life doesn’t go according to plan.
There have been projects that didn’t unfold as expected, opportunities that fell through, and seasons where I questioned whether I was on the right path. But I’ve learned that setbacks are often preparation for something greater. Every challenge has strengthened my faith, sharpened my leadership, and made me a better business owner and designer.
Today, I don’t view those struggles as obstacles to my success, they are the very foundation of it. They’ve taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of trusting the process, even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

I am the Founder and CEO of The Styled Hause, a full-service interior design firm specializing in luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, and model home interiors. Our work goes far beyond selecting furniture and finishes, we create thoughtfully designed environments that enhance how people live, work, and connect. Every project begins with understanding our client’s vision and ends with a space that is beautiful, functional, and timeless.
One of the things that sets me apart is my unconventional background. Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, I spent more than 22 years leading complex policy initiatives for the federal government. That experience taught me how to solve problems strategically, manage large-scale projects, build relationships, and lead with purpose. Today, I bring that same level of discipline, organization, and attention to detail into every design project, allowing me to bridge creativity with execution in a way that is unique within the industry.
I’m proud of the trust our clients place in us. Whether we’re transforming a family home, designing a corporate office, or reimagining a community clubhouse, our goal is always the same: to create spaces that tell a story and leave a lasting impression. We don’t believe luxury is simply about aesthetics, it’s about creating environments that improve people’s everyday experiences.
Perhaps what I’m most proud of is building a business that reflects who I am. The Styled Hause was founded on authenticity, excellence, and genuine relationships. We intentionally remain hands-on throughout every project, ensuring our clients feel heard, supported, and excited from concept to completion. For me, design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces, it’s about creating places where people can thrive, celebrate milestones, and make lasting memories. That is the legacy I’m committed to building.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is legacy, not in the sense of being remembered for accolades or accomplishments, but for the lives I impacted and the opportunities I created for others.
I want my legacy to be one of purpose, integrity, and service. Whether through the spaces I design, the businesses I build, or the people I mentor, I hope to leave every person and every place better than I found it. Design has the power to transform more than a room, it can restore confidence, foster connection, inspire creativity, and shape how people experience the world. Being able to contribute to that transformation is a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
Legacy also means creating something that outlives me. I want to build businesses that open doors for other women, minority entrepreneurs, and future creatives who may not see themselves represented in this industry. I want my work to demonstrate that it’s possible to lead with excellence, operate with integrity, and still make a meaningful impact.
On a personal level, my mother’s life profoundly shaped how I define success. She taught me that your greatest accomplishment isn’t what you accumulate, it’s what you give, how you treat people, and the example you leave behind. That lesson influences every decision I make.
At the end of the day, I don’t want to be remembered simply as someone who designed beautiful spaces. I want to be remembered as someone who built something meaningful, inspired others to dream bigger, and left a legacy of faith, resilience, generosity, and excellence that continues long after I’m gone.
