Community Highlights: Meet Jerson of Global Remodeling Pros

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerson.

Hi Jerson, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Glen Burnie, Maryland, but my roots are in Callao, Peru, where opportunities are limited and hard work is a necessity. That background shaped my mindset early and taught me that if I wanted more out of life, I would have to build it myself.

Construction has always been part of my life. My father started in painting when he came to the United States and worked his way into larger projects, which inspired me from a young age. I got my first experience at 12 years old painting a garage door, and from there I developed a strong work ethic and pride in delivering quality work.

Before starting my business, I was working for someone else making about $500 a week. When I had my first child, everything changed. I decided to partner back up with my father and go all in, with no backup plan. In the beginning, getting clients was the biggest challenge, but once we committed fully to marketing and systems, our results began to speak for themselves. That experience taught me resilience and the importance of going all in.

We started with small referral jobs, then quickly moved into remodeling, and shortly after that began taking on full home renovations and new construction projects. Today, through Global Remodeling Pros, we specialize in bathrooms, kitchens, and full home remodels across Maryland. Our projects average around $15,000 for bathrooms, $25,000 for kitchens, and $150,000 for full home renovations, and we consistently have multiple large projects running at once. We’ve built a team of two owners, four managers, and seven crews, and we stay busy year-round.

What sets us apart is our focus on speed, systems, and client experience. We provide proposals within 24 to 48 hours, offer highly customizable projects, and create a hands-off experience for our clients. We also stand behind our work with a lifetime labor guarantee and flexible financing options. Prior to building our company, we also worked on high-level projects as subcontractors, including diplomatic embassies in Washington, DC.

My biggest motivation is my family. My wife’s belief in me and having my first child pushed me to build something bigger. To me, success means having the freedom to be present for my family and enjoy life with them. Looking ahead, I see this becoming a generational business, with the potential to grow into a $5–10 million company. In just over half a year, we’ve already done almost $1M in sales, and I’m committed to continuing that growth.

One mindset I live by is something my wife and I always say is, “everything goes our way.” No matter the challenge, we believe things will work out, and that belief has carried us every step of the way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, the biggest challenge was getting clients and building trust, especially when we knew we could deliver but didn’t yet have the track record to prove it. Going all in with no backup plan also came with a lot of pressure, but that’s what pushed me to stay focused and make it work.

As we’ve grown, the challenges have shifted to managing time, scaling the business, and maintaining quality across multiple projects and crews. It’s still something I’m working on, but every challenge has helped us grow and improve.

As you know, we’re big fans of Global Remodeling Pros. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business, Global Remodeling Pros, is a full service remodeling company specializing in bathrooms, kitchens, and full home renovations throughout Maryland. We focus on delivering high quality, customizable projects while making the process as smooth and hands off as possible for our clients.

What sets us apart is our speed, systems, and overall client experience. We provide proposals within 24 to 48 hours, maintain clear communication throughout the project, and offer flexible financing options, including 12 months no interest or no payments. We also stand behind our work with a lifetime labor guarantee, which gives our clients long term confidence in choosing us.

We’re known for being reliable, efficient, and detail oriented, while still keeping projects moving at a strong pace. Our team structure allows us to handle multiple projects at once without sacrificing quality.

Brand wise, what I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built in a short amount of time. We’ve grown quickly because of our consistency, our systems, and the way we treat our clients. I want readers to know that when they work with us, they’re not just hiring a contractor, they’re working with a team that truly cares about delivering results and making the entire experience seamless.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes, get all the mentors you can, work for them if you have to and absorb everything like a sponge. I learned a lot about systems from my old employer, my biggest regret being I probably did not learn enough. When I was younger and even up to now, I would buy every course I could get my hands on. I sucked at school but I did great with self education and self learning. I would take big influential people in my community for lunch just to pick their brain, and even now Im so grateful they gave a random kid the time of they when they didn’t even have to do that for me. My current mentor now is probably one of the biggest or the biggest guy in the bathroom and remodeling space, Sam DeMaio from New Jersey.
