Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Conners.
Hi Paul, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started first in landscaping; In New York I mowed neighbors’ lawns got bigger and bigger and eventually started my own landscaping business. Sold my landscaping business and got into the Home Improvement Business in New York wound up moving to Maryland because my wife’s family lives in Maryland then started My home improvement business here in Maryland and have been in business ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of my struggles included how to learn a new geographical area, how to get new customers and choosing the right contractors to help me in my business
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We do flooring, painting, drywall work, decks, basement remodels, kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, etc. We do quality work, my role is sales project manager, so I am the first person they talk to when contracting the home improvement, I think one of the things that set us apart is I am there every day the project is going on to talk to the customer and answer any questions they may have as the project is going on a lot of companies have someone sell the project and you never see them again I am there from the start to the end, Also I am very picky as to who I hire to do the work for me and we also never job hop once we get there to do the work we stay there until the project is completed
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy besides my family is when my customers are happy with the work that we did!
