Hi DJ, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started the music business in Pleasantville NJ as lead singer of an R&B group called 4 PLAY. With writers from Multi platinum Production team DarkChild. I went on to Managing many Artists & Groups like my Son Young Leek to whom Jay Z signed to Def Jam. During my Son promotional tour I couldn’t find a DJ that was animated enough to be apart of the team so I taught myself how to DJ. With a signed deal at Def Jam I created a company for my two Sons called Baker Boyz Entertainment where works with many Artists. Today I still tour DJing for Major Artists and events all across the country while sitting as a Co-Founder of a company that strives on helping new Artists reap the benefits of their talents with an App that allows you to Monetize from just likes and comments. I also own a facility in Baltimore Maryland called Baker Boyz Recording Studio where I am writing and producing for legendary Artists.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the most difficult challenges was after every disappointment I had to learn how to reinvent myself.
