Today we’d like to introduce you to Emani Greene.
Hi Emani, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story has really been a journey of becoming. I’ve always been a dreamer, a creative, and someone who naturally loves encouraging and pouring into others. I’ve always had a love for beauty and fashion for as long as I can remember, but I don’t think I always realized how all of those pieces would eventually come together and become part of my purpose.
I first stepped into entrepreneurship in 2018 when I started a jewelry business called Made With Love. Over the years, life took me through seasons that challenged me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I experienced so many things that could’ve broken me, had moments where my confidence was shaken, and went through seasons that forced me to look inward and rediscover who I was. Motherhood was also a huge part of that journey. I had to get to know myself again outside of being a mother and the many other roles I carried. There came a point where I realized I had spent so much time pouring into everyone and everything around me that I needed to learn how to pour back into myself.
That season of rebuilding changed the way I viewed purpose. What started as Made With Love eventually evolved into MWL Beautique — Motivation, Wisdom & Love, a beauty brand centered around confidence, self-expression, affirmations, and empowering women from the inside out. I wanted to create more than beauty products. I wanted women to be reminded of who they are every time they picked one up.
That same desire to encourage women also became the heart behind PowHERful Journey, a community centered around healing, evolving, rising, faith, self-love, rediscovering and becoming the woman you’re called to be. As I’ve continued growing, I’ve stepped more intentionally into content creation and motivational speaking because I’ve realized that my voice is also part of what I’m supposed to share.
I’m still building, still learning, and still becoming, and I think that’s one of the most important parts of my story. I didn’t wait until everything was perfect to start walking in purpose. I’ve learned how to turn difficult seasons into lessons, pain into purpose, and the things I’ve walked through into something powerful that can encourage another woman. Today, I’m building businesses, creating, raising my daughter, sharing my journey, and allowing God to lead me into spaces I once only dreamed about.
I’m proud of where I am, but I also know this is only the beginning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been a lot of beautiful moments, but there have also been seasons that stretched me in ways I never expected.
One of my biggest struggles has been learning how to pour into myself while being someone who naturally pours so much into others. For a long time, I was so focused on showing up for everyone and everything around me that taking care of myself could easily fall to the bottom of the list. I’ve had to learn that choosing myself, protecting my peace, resting, and making space for the things that fill me back up aren’t selfish, they’re necessary. That journey has taught me that I can’t continuously pour from an empty cup. I have to be just as intentional about pouring back into myself as I am about pouring into others.
Entrepreneurship has brought its own challenges too. Building a brand from the ground up requires you to constantly put yourself out there, even when the results don’t immediately match the amount of work you’re putting in. I’ve had to learn how to keep believing in what I’m building during the quiet seasons, when the sales aren’t pouring in, and the engagement isn’t there. However, it has taught me patience, resilience, consistency, and how to stop measuring my progress only by what I can see.
I’ve also experienced personal loss and difficult life transitions that forced me to keep rebuilding myself while continuing to be a mother, entrepreneur, creator, and woman with dreams of her own. Some seasons required me to slow down, some required me to start over, and others required me to surrender the version of myself I thought I had to be.
Through all of it, my faith has been what grounds me. I’ve learned that the road doesn’t have to be smooth for you to be on the right path. Sometimes the hardest seasons are the ones that reveal your strength, deepen your faith, and redirect you toward your purpose. I’m still navigating challenges, but I handle them differently now. I give myself grace, I trust God more, and I remind myself that becoming isn’t always beautiful while you’re in the middle of it, but that doesn’t mean something beautiful isn’t being produced.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about MWL Beautique?
MWL Beautique is an intentional beauty brand rooted in Motivation, Wisdom & Love. We specialize in affirmation-based beauty products designed to help women feel confident, empowered, and beautiful from the inside out.
What sets MWL apart is the purpose behind the products. Each product carries an “I Am” affirmation, such as I Am PowHERful, I Am Confident, and I Am Enough, turning an everyday beauty routine into an opportunity to speak life over yourself.
I’m most proud that MWL is more than a beauty brand. It represents confidence, self-expression, and intentional self-love. I want readers to know that when you shop MWL, you’re not just purchasing a product, you’re choosing beauty with intention and purpose. Because at MWL, we believe in speaking life over yourself, looking good, and feeling even better from the inside out.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ve been blessed to have a strong support system throughout my journey. My family and the people closest to me have been some of my biggest supporters, whether it’s encouraging me, showing up for me, sharing my work, purchasing from my business, or simply reminding me to keep believing in myself and what I’m building.
I also have to give credit to the women and community who continue to support MWL, engage with my content, and believe in the vision. Every purchase, share, comment, recommendation, and word of encouragement means more than people probably realize.
Most importantly, I give all credit to God. My faith has carried me through every season, opened doors I couldn’t have opened for myself, and given me the strength and vision to keep going. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without God. I’m forever grateful.
