Today we’d like to introduce you to Champal Jordan.
Hi Champal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When I look back at how I got to where I am today, all I can say is, wow, God has brought me a long way. Even as my younger self, I always had a passion for making a difference, striving to do my best, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
My journey, however, has not been easy. I’ve experienced pain, hurt, struggles, and trials that have shaped me into the person I am today. Through it all, my faith in God has been my anchor. In the moments when I didn’t understand why I had to go through certain things, my prayer was always, “God, if I have to go through this, please let it be for a purpose. Use my pain to help someone else.”
The Bible reminds us that we will face trials and tribulations in this life, and I’ve learned that even our most difficult seasons can serve a greater purpose. Today, I carry those experiences with me, not as something to be ashamed of, but as a reminder of how far God has brought me and how He can use our struggles to help others.
At the heart of my journey is a desire to love, serve, encourage, and inspire. If sharing my story can bring hope to someone who is hurting or remind someone that they are not alone, then every tear, every struggle, and every lesson has meaning. I believe my journey is about more than what I’ve overcome; it’s about allowing God to use my story to make a difference in someone else’s life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m actually grateful to be able to smile as I answer this question, because there was a time in my life when smiling didn’t come so easily. So, has it been a smooth road? Most definitely not. I’ve experienced heartbreak, difficult seasons, and moments that challenged my faith, my identity, and my understanding of who I was meant to be.
There came a season when God allowed me to be still and spend time alone with Him. In those quiet years, He began revealing parts of me that I had never taken the time to acknowledge, including hurts I had carried since childhood but had never spoken about. Through prayer, journaling, and allowing myself to be honest with God, I began a journey of healing that no person could do for me. God was working on my heart, teaching me, stretching me, and transforming me from the inside out.
One of the most powerful lessons I learned was the difference between condemnation and conviction. Sometimes, God lovingly reveals the things we need to face, not to destroy us, but to help us grow. Letting go of certain situations was painful, especially when I had given so much of myself, but I eventually came to a place where I had to surrender my own will and trust His.
I will never forget a prayer that has stayed with me: “God, I have done all that I can do. It is no longer my will, but Yours. Let Your will be done.” That surrender marked the beginning of a deeper transformation in my life.
What I’ve learned is that the fire is not always there to consume you; sometimes, God uses it to refine you, heal you, and prepare you for what’s ahead. The process can hurt, but there is also beauty in becoming who God has called you to be.
The Bible reminds us that we will face trials and tribulations, but we can take heart because He has overcome the world. That truth has carried me through some of my hardest moments.
So today, when I smile, it means something. It represents healing, growth, surrender, and the grace of God. You will hear me speak about God often because I know that it is only by His grace that I am where I am today. My journey has not been easy, but I wouldn’t trade the lessons that have shaped me. My heart is to allow God to use every part of my story to encourage someone else, because if He can bring me through it, I believe He can use your story, too. And through it all, I am a woman who went through the fire, but by the grace of God, I made it to the other side.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At the heart of everything I do is my passion for helping others become the best version of themselves, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I believe true transformation goes beyond what we see on the outside; it begins within, with our mindset, our faith, and our willingness to grow.
I am a coach who encourages others to care for their minds, bodies, and souls; a figure competitor and bodybuilder who embraces discipline, perseverance, and pushing beyond limitations; and a recording artist whose song, Walk in the Light, was released on August 7 and is available on all major streaming platforms. I am also the author of The Mind of Christ Journal, a 30-day journal designed to inspire spiritual growth, renew the mind, and strengthen one’s walk with God. Additionally, I am a member of Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Frederick, Maryland, where I serve as a Stephen Minister and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. I am honored to support others through life’s challenges and to serve my church community through faith, compassion, and leadership.
What am I most proud of? I’m proud of how God has taken the different parts of my journey and given them purpose. Today, I use my experiences, my gifts, and my faith to encourage others, uplift my community, and help both adults and the younger generation recognize the potential within themselves.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just speak about transformation; I strive to live it. I believe in caring for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. In a world that often encourages us to conform, I want to remind people that we are called to live with purpose, stand firm in our faith, and walk in the light of Jesus Christ.
I am here to make an impact, to inspire growth, and to help others become who God has called them to be. Everything I do is rooted in that purpose, and I give God the glory for bringing me to where I am today and for all He continues to do through me.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I actually chuckled a little when I saw this question because I had to think about it!
What do I love most about my city? Honestly, I’ve always felt safe here, and in a world where so much is happening, that means more to me than people realize. I think it’s a wonderful place to raise children, and I love the peace of mind that comes with living here. I enjoy taking a walk, enjoying the quiet, and not always being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of city life. I love that I have space to grow my own fruits and vegetables, and that I can go up into the mountains to the spring and get fresh water.
Sometimes, we overlook the simplest blessings because we’re so busy looking for something bigger and better. But having peace, fresh air, room to grow my own food, access to fresh water, and a place where I can just breathe without feeling like the world is on my shoulders? That’s a blessing I don’t take for granted. There’s a certain kind of richness in living a life that money can’t always buy.
Now, what do I like least? Y’all… sometimes this city is BORING! I would love a little more variety, more things to do, and more social activities that actually interest me. Because listen, I know I did NOT work all week just to get dressed, leave my house, and end up somewhere wondering why I didn’t just stay home in my pajamas! Some of the social scenes around here just aren’t for me, and that’s okay. Everybody isn’t looking for the same kind of fun.
But even when I get frustrated with the lack of excitement, I have to remind myself that the very thing I sometimes complain about is also part of what makes this place special. The quiet, the slower pace, and the peace I enjoy are things other people are desperately searching for.
So, I guess I want the best of both worlds: give me peace, safety, nature, and room to grow… but can we sprinkle in a little more excitement, too?
