Today we’d like to introduce you to Truthofficial Foundation.
Hi Truthofficial, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Truth Official Foundation began in October 2023, but its vision began much earlier.
In 2021, Truth Official initially began as a clothing brand. At the time, we believed that selling apparel could be a way to share the Word of God and reach people. However, as we grew, we realized we were becoming more of a business than a way to serve and help the community.
We knew God was calling us to something different. We were called to go into the world and preach the good news of life, reaching territories and people who had not heard it and serving those in need.
So, we made the decision to put the clothing brand on hold and gave away our remaining inventory for free.
Then, in July 2023, our founder rededicated her life to God. That experience brought even more clarity to the vision and the assignment God had placed on her heart. A few months later, in October 2023, Truth Official Foundation was born with a renewed purpose: to serve, empower, and bring hope to vulnerable communities, particularly those experiencing homelessness and hardship, while sharing the love and message of Christ.
What started as a clothing brand became something much bigger…a foundation built around faith, service, compassion, and the belief that people deserve to experience both practical help and the hope of a better tomorrow..
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No journey is ever completely smooth, and ours has definitely had its challenges.
We’ve traveled throughout Baltimore, evangelizing, hosting community events, and organizing picnics to connect with people and share the love of God. One of the challenges we’ve faced is exposure. Because we’re still growing as an organization, there are times when we put together an event and don’t see as many people attend as we hoped.
We’ve also had moments when we needed more volunteers to help us reach people, have conversations, pray with those in need, and serve the community effectively. But we’ve learned that every obstacle is an opportunity to grow, adapt, and trust God even more.
There will always be obstacles, but we stand firmly on God’s Word. Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
And Isaiah 54:15 reminds us, “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.”
When God is on your side, He has a way of making the rocky road smooth. So even when the journey gets difficult, we keep moving forward, trusting God and knowing that the assignment is greater than the obstacles we face.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Truth Official Foundation is a nonprofit organization led and operated by young adults from different backgrounds, professions, and walks of life. Our team includes business professionals, accountants, project managers, creatives, and many others who bring their unique skills and experiences together for one common purpose: serving people and sharing the love of God.
Our work focuses on reaching communities through evangelism, outreach, community events, food distribution, prayer, and practical support for people in need. We believe that serving others is not just about meeting a physical need, but also about reminding people of their value, purpose, and hope.
What makes Truth Official different is that we don’t focus primarily on what you do—we focus on who you are called to be. We believe everyone has a purpose, and your profession, background, or circumstances do not define the impact you can make.
What we are most proud of is seeing young people come together, use their gifts, and step outside of their comfort zones to serve others. We are building more than an organization; we are building a community of people who are willing to answer the call to make a difference.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, we see Truth Official Foundation expanding beyond outreach and into creating long-term solutions for people experiencing homelessness and those who feel they have lost hope.
One of our biggest goals is to establish lodges and rehabilitation centers where individuals can find a safe place to stay, receive support, rebuild their lives, and discover their purpose. We don’t just want to provide temporary assistance; we want to help create pathways toward stability, restoration, and hope.
Our vision is rooted in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We believe God has a plan for everyone, including the people we encounter through our foundation. We may be the people He chooses to use to help someone discover that their story is not over and that they still have a future.
Ultimately, we want Truth Official Foundation to be a vessel through which many people experience both practical transformation and salvation—meaning that they come to know Christ Jesus, give their lives to Him, and choose to live for Him. Our hope is to see people not only find shelter, resources, and support, but also find faith, purpose, and a renewed sense of hope for their future.
