Rising Stars: Meet Chrsitian Scott of Maryland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrsitian Scott.

Hi Chrsitian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up doing pageants and model work so I’ve always been around cameras, photography/videography, and that industry which correlates a lot with the reason, I do photography and videography now. When I was in my teens, I would photograph my friends, family, and even places I would go since my family and I travel a lot. That random photography would lead to my first gig back in 2021 at a restaurant right in my hometown called “Mama Mish’s Homemade Dishes.” One of my photos was also be published in a 2022 copy of a Maryland magazine featuring a photo from Haverty, Grace, Maryland.

From there, I began doing weddings, engagements, couples shoots, etc… and even got flown down around August of 2023 to shoot promotional photography and videography, for a trucking company called WAR Logistics. Later that year I would also pick modeling Back up with a photo shoot in Graffiti Alley in Baltimore, Maryland. I was contacted via Facebook/messenger because of a personal video I posted on YouTube. I photographed my friend in an outfit that we had made while setting off smoke bombs/smoke grenades.. I’ve been making YouTube videos for years, ever since I was little, and got more professional as time went along but towards the end of 2023 I was feeling burnt out from dealing with my entire business, high school, and my upcoming graduation. I felt burnt out for a few months until around the beginning of 2024 when I restarted my YouTube channel claiming to make better videos and new content, and started a new series. I’m continuing it to this day called Limitless. I was also reached out to in the first few months of 2024 to make my first-ever sponsored video which was absolutely crazy because I only had 200-some subscribers. The year was mostly video-driven, as I put all my efforts towards making my new series better videos and even a short film.

2025 was a year where I started pushing my business more than ever doing giveaways plenty of photo shoots and plenty of videos. As of today, 2025 was one of my most productive years. Even though there weren’t many major events happening..

As of this year, 2026 I started to feel burnt out again towards the beginning of year, but was surprised to find out that dean had reached back out to me, asking me to make another sponsored video (it’s almost like they know when I’m burnt out in need an extra confidence boost) I’ve also been going to more events to sell my photography as a vendor and even work with more businesses/companies such as (wolfhunt Photography), amazing HVAC, and more.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Burnout has been one of the biggest factors I’ve had to account for, I tend to push myself above and beyond what I should in order to “ get more videos or photos done, get everything out quickly” and it also doesn’t help that I also have a key and overthink what I do a lot.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I personally say that I fit multiple of these categories, I am a business owner but also a creative/artist because of my photography and videography along with YouTube. YouTube allow me to be very creative driven and artistic with what I make and how I make it and while I try to do that with my business, I also need to stick to a more professional folks so that I can learn (Client), hope gigs/jobs, etc…

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Something that has absolutely pushed me in building a community, finding like-minded individuals or even mentors has been to push through embarrassment.

Embarrassment is an underrated emotion because we don’t want to make a full of ourselves Ocean Child, and professional. There has been numerous times that I have messaged everyone that follows me saying check out this new thing I made or going up to someone. An embarrassing situation to either get (Work) or tell them that I like they’re clothes/shirt/camera/whatever it is that I like because I feel that the more I do put myself in those embarrassing situations the easier will be to express myself creatively
