Life & Work with Tiffany Hainesworth of Maryland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hainesworth.

Hi Tiffany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Tiffany Capri Hainesworth
Founder
Tiffany Capri Hainesworth is the visionary behind TCapri®
Tequila. After a car accident caused a traumatic brain injury,
she re-evaluated her life and founded TCapri Gourmet
Treats, using her passion for flavor to create joyous
experiences. Inspired by her success, she ventured to
Jalisco, Mexico in 2018 to create the ultimate ultra-premium
tequila. Overcoming numerous challenges, Tiffany made
history in 2019 with the launch of TCapri® Tequila, as the
first Black woman to solely own a tequila brand.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
From launching during the Pandemic, to supply chain disruption, to distribution. Being a black woman to Solely own a tequila brand in a male dominated industry this has truly been tough road.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I made History as the First Black Woman to Soley Own a Tequila Brand.

Without a partner or investors I borrowed off of my retirement, spent time in Jalisco, MX learning how to make tequila and bet on myself. Creating a craft, small batch additive free and Kosher Certified Tequila Brand.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
When trying to sell/launch your product
