Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashli McCoy.
Hi Ashli, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in web design. I was building websites for other people’s businesses while also running an online boutique, and that combination taught me more than any classroom could.
I learned what makes a business look good online, and I learned what it actually takes to move & sell product to “keep the lights on”.
She Rich Digital started as a done-for-you solo agency. Clients came to me for websites, funnels, marketing, whatever they needed built.
But I kept running into the same thing.
I would build a woman a beautiful website and she still would not make money, because the site was never the issue. Her offer was unclear, her pricing was off, she had no real process for selling. I was handing people tools when what they needed was somebody to tell them the truth about what was broken.
So I repositioned.
Five years in, SRD is a strategy and consulting firm. I work with women who already make money in their business and have hit a ceiling they cannot see.
It is my job to find the actual reason the growth stopped, make it clear, and help them rebuild what should have been there in the first place.
Alongside that I write and speak under my own name. I have published two books, The Mind Reset and Triggered, and I run in-person and virtual workshops for women who are done settling for a life they don’t even love.
The most recent one was a working session called She Returned, where women left with a written 30 and 90 day plan instead of another notebook full of feelings and a boost of motivation.
I am also pursing a degree in psychology so the language and structure match what I already know how to do.
Today I am still building, still based in Baltimore, running several brands.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been smooth, and I would not trust anybody who said their journey was.
The first hard part was letting go of the work that paid. Done-for-you was comfortable. People knew how to hire me for a website.
When I repositioned into strategy, I had to teach the market what I do all over again, and there were stretches where the pipeline went quiet while I figured out how to say it.
The second was a structure problem I created myself. I cannot sell and execute at the same time.
When I was deep in client work or building out an event, the marketing stopped, and then a month later I felt the gap. Learning to keep something running while my head is down is still the thing I work on the hardest.
Then there is the piece nobody talks about, which is being the whole company.
I write the copy, build the website, design the graphics, run the ads, do the outreach, deliver the work. I have a design and web background, so I can do all of it, and that is exactly why I do too much of it.
And I have had things not work.
I have run events where I sold ten tickets after weeks of personal outreach and had to sit with why. I have priced an offer at a number my own audience could not reach and had to admit it.
Every time, the answer was the same thing I tell my clients. The traffic was not the problem, the promise was not clear enough.
It is a lot easier to diagnose that for somebody else than to turn it on yourself.
What kept me moving is that I actually love the work. I like finding the real reason something is stuck. Every one of those rough spots gave me another pattern I can now spot in a client’s business in less time.
We’ve been impressed with She Rich Digital LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
She Rich Digital is a business-marketing & sales strategy based consulting firm. I work with women who already make money in their business and cannot figure out why the money stopped growing.
That is the specific lane.
Not startups, not the idea stage.
Women with real revenue to show for, real customers, and a ceiling they keep hitting. Usually they have been told to post more, run ads, or find a new audience, and none of it worked, because the problem was never visibility.
It was the offer, the pricing, the process for selling, or the fact that everything in the business still runs through her.
What I do is diagnose that. I go into the business, find the actual reason growth stopped, say it plainly, and then help rebuild the part that should have been there from the beginning.
Messaging and positioning, offer structure, pricing, and the sales process.
Right now a lot of my work is teaching women how to sell properly, because that is the gap I see most often and the one people are most embarrassed to admit.
What sets me apart is that I will tell you the truth. Most people in this space sell comfort.
They validate the plan you walked in with and hand you a template.
I am going to tell you what is actually broken, even when it is you, and then I am going to help you fix it.
I also come from the execution side. Eight+ years of web design and boutique retail before this, so I am not theorizing. I have built the sites, run the inventory, made the sales.
The offers are a 1:1 Strategy Session, which is a 90 minute working session where we map your growth plan and your sales process, and a longer 90 day partnership for women who need somebody in the business with them while they rebuild.
What I am most proud of is that the whole thing is one gift showing up in three places.
Under my own name directly, I write and speak, I have published two books, The Mind Reset and Triggered, and I run workshops for women who are done settling. Different rooms, same work. I see the root problem, I name it out loud, and I help build what fixes it.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
People assume that because I run a strategy firm and talk about revenue, I live big. I do NOT baby.
I am extremely tight with money, almost comically so. My friends joke that I am Mr. Krabs.
I run lean on purpose, though. I do not spend on things that do not produce, and I would rather keep a business profitable and small than look expensive and be broke.
That is also why I can teach it. I actually live the discipline I sell.
