Community Highlights: Meet Steve Gale of Tiffanee & Co. Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Gale.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Tiffanee & Co Bakery, first named Tiffanee’s, was established in 2011. Originally, the bakery was home based and was more of a hobby, as so many passions start. Once business began to pick up, and the concern about strangers knowing where she lived grew, she decided to put some thought into obtaining a store front. In the fall of 2014, the first location was opened in downtown Dover. DE. The bakery was a huge success and even earned Tiffanee a spot on the nationally televised show, Cake Wars in 2015.

As the business continued to do rise, it was necessary to get a new location which was born and opened in the summer of 2021. That new location was also in Dover, and featured expanded menu offerings and our hours.

Tiffanee met her now husband Steven in 2024, and in November 2025 we opened our newest and largest location to date in Bel Air, MD, as a partnership (in life and in business). Each location has been an upgrade and being in a new state has been extremely exciting. The welcome from the community has been something we’re all grateful for and excited to grow.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So many obstacles along the way. Just having to persevere and when you think you’ve proven yourself, we moved to Maryland and a brand new market and have to prove ourselves all over again. We love what we do so proving it through sweets is the fun part for us.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We believe every celebration, and every say deserves something made with care. We’re a locally owned, family-operated bakery in Bel Air, Maryland, specializing in handcrafted custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pastries, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and other fresh-baked treats made from scratch.

While we’re known for our custom cake designs and beautifully decorated desserts, what truly sets us apart is the experience we create. Every customer who walks through our doors is treated like family, and every order, whether it’s a birthday cake, wedding dessert table, corporate event, or a box of cookies for the office, is made with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Our founder, Tiffanee, has built a nationally recognized reputation for her creativity and artistry, with appearances on Cake Wars and even being featured in a Google Super Bowl commercial. Today, we’re proud to bring that same level of creativity and passion to our hometown community.

Beyond baking, we’re passionate about giving back. We love partnering with local businesses, schools, hospitals, nonprofits, and community organizations because we believe great bakeries should be part of the community, and not just serve it.

What we’re most proud of isn’t just the desserts we create; it’s the memories we help make. Whether it’s a child’s first birthday, a wedding, a graduation, or simply someone’s favorite cinnamon roll on a Saturday morning, we’re honored to be part of life’s sweetest moments.

We want our readers to know that when they choose Tiffanee & Co. Bakery, they’re supporting a local business that values craftsmanship, creativity, community, and genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to welcome you to the sweet side.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Being vulnerable and putting yourself out there! Don’t be afraid to ask for advice and or help from people you respect who have done what you want to do. There are other business owners and bakery owners that we respect greatly who we still lean on for advice. It’s a great community and we all have something to offer to one another. Stay humble and be consistent!
