Hi April, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
SincerelyB started as just a blog and it pretty much created its own legs and have flowered into something that I didn’t anticipate happening. The rhythm of blog spearheaded from X formerly known as Twitter and how I would watch different things on tv and tweet about them. In this case, it was from the show Catfish that went viral on X and transposed to Instagram as someone shared it on another blog that showed a gentleman getting his man piece pulled off his head. Pretty much, I made someone else famous from the viral clip from Catfish and til this day it’s still a viral moment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh no, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road for this process. Many of failures and wins from relationships and money failures. I was freelancing for a while, like “FREE” for a women’s group and it got to the point that it was financially weighing in on me because I would travel on their behalf, yes getting exposure, but again at a cost that it started to put me in the hole with finances. The relationship went left, and I took a break from all things social media to gather myself back up and start again, but for my own benefit and not for anyone else.
