Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the beauty industry for almost 7 years now. I started doing freelance makeup , started my own cosmetics company, and transitioned into a lash designer. I have now opened up my own lash and brow salon ASHLASHBEAUTYY Studio March of this year 2026. I have four amazing women entrepreneurs working under me. We also offer lash and brow trainings for students who are looking into getting into the beauty industry. Now that I became a mom, it definitely is challenging to balance both a business and being a mom but never impossible!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It honestly is a bump road. Being an entrepreneur means risking and taking a leap of faith in everything you do. You really have to believe in yourself and enjoy what you do. I changed my business about 3-4 times to get to where I am today. All the sacrifices and disappointments throughout the years were definitely worth it. Definitely trust in God and have faith in him.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
After being a Lash Designer for almost 7 years, I now transitioned in being a Lash & Brow Educator + Beauty Mentor for other women entrepreneurs. I genuinely love educating and helping women grow their businesses because i know how hard it is to hard or get burnt out. I officially stepped away from being behind the chair and my team handles all our clientele. At ALB Studio I love helping my own team grow as well so I do offer educational opportunities and resources to my girls as well for us to better our skills and give the best possible outcome and results to our clients.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite podcast has to be “Beauty With A Twist”. I love hearing stories on other entrepreneurs in the beauty industry on how they started, experiences, and where they are now. It truly is inspiring!
