Community Highlights: Meet Carole Shegogue of Just in Bloom Flowers LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carole Shegogue.

Hi Carole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Just in Bloom Flowers started in 2022, but the dream began long before that. Ever since high school I have loved the creative and design aspects of working with flowers. There is something special about taking different flowers and creating something beautiful that brings joy to others. What started as a passion grew into a business focused on helping people celebrate life’s milestones, express their emotions, and make lasting memories. Seeing a customer’s smile when they receive an arrangement is still my favorite part of what I do. Today, Just in Bloom Flowers continues to grow through the support of our community, and I am grateful to do what I love every day.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was building a customer base from the ground up while managing the costs of running a small business. As a florist, every day brings new challenges, from keeping fresh inventory on hand to balancing holidays, weddings, deliveries, and everyday orders. There were times when I questioned whether I could make it work, but my passion for creating beautiful floral designs and bringing joy to others kept me going. Every obstacle became a learning experience, helping me grow both personally and professionally. Today, I am proud of how far Just in Bloom Flowers has come and excited for what the future holds.

We’ve been impressed with Just in Bloom Flowers LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Just in Bloom Flowers LLC was founded in 2022, but the dream began years earlier when I was in high school in horticulture class. I’ve always loved the creativity of floral design and the joy that flowers bring to people’s lives. Every arrangement I create is designed with care, intention, and a personal touch.

We specialize in custom floral designs for everyday occasions, weddings, sympathy tributes, birthdays, anniversaries, and special events. We also offer unique gifts, plants, locally sourced products, and seasonal creations that make every order feel special.

What sets Just in Bloom Flowers apart is our focus on building relationships with our customers and our commitment to supporting other local businesses whenever possible. We believe flowers tell a story, celebrate life’s biggest moments, and offer comfort during difficult times.

I’m most proud of creating a business built on passion, creativity, and genuine care for the community. Whether it’s a single bouquet or flowers for a wedding, our goal is always the same—to create beautiful designs that make people smile and leave a lasting impression.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to just start Don’t be afraid to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and keep creating. Build relationships in your community, stay true to your style, and remember that making people smile through your work is what makes it all worthwhile. Persistence and passion will take you further than perfection ever will.
