Conversations with Isis Idiokitas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isis Idiokitas.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started during Covid when I was 9 and was doing some local fares. I then expanded on Etsy and my own website, and have been selling continuously ever since. Now I’m 14 and my necklaces are sold in several Children’s museums and children’s hospital gift shops around the country.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have had and still have trouble talking confidently to people that I don’t know and getting them interested and intrigued with what I have to offer.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My name is Isis and the CEO and creator of two snaps necklaces built of LEGO® pieces. Tu Snaps necklaces are easy to take on and off because you use the LEGO® as the clasp. Necklaces can be made with custom colors for team swag or to show school spirit. We are a buy one give one business, for every necklace bought another necklace is donated to a child living with sickle cell disease.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I would like to see my business in stores. I want a company that I can rely on for income for the rest of my life. I think people want to have jewelry that is unique and makes them stand out so I think Tu Snaps will be successful.
