ronald, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
as a young adult I wanted to be a professional baseball player and a Plastic Surgeon in the off season. Since it,s difficult to be excellent in both I decided to pursue solely a plastic surgeon .The commitment to be a plastic surgeon was made early and I went to college as a pre-med student.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing came easy as it’s a long road. With total dedication and many days and nights of studying I got through 4 years of medical school .Following Medical school it took 5 years of general surgery residency,2 years of plastic surgery residency and a year fellowship of hand and microsurgery. Following 15 years of studying and training I was then able to start my own practice in Plastic Surgery.
