Hi ROXANNE, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
RDT Care Services LLC isn’t just a business—it’s a story of purpose, compassion, and answering a calling.
Founded by me Roxanne McGann, my journey began far from where I am today.
Originally from Jamaica and later living in New York, I built a career in the corporate world. But something was missing. After the birth of my second son, I realized that sitting behind a desk didn’t fulfill my deeper passion—I felt that I was meant to care for people.
That realization changed everything.
A Calling Turned Into a Mission
I stepped into the healthcare field, guided by my natural desire to nurture and support others. What started as a personal calling quickly grew into something bigger—a vision to provide compassionate, reliable, and personalized care to families who needed it most.
That vision became RDT Care Services LLC.
From the beginning, my mission has been clear:
To help elderly and disabled individuals live with dignity, independence, and comfort in their own homes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While RDT Care Services LLC stands today as a trusted and growing company, the journey to get here has been anything but easy.
Behind the scenes, this business was built on sacrifice, resilience, and relentless determination. There were long days that turned into even longer nights—working tirelessly to not only grow the company, but also to stay afloat financially. Every step forward came with real-life pressures: keeping up with daily living expenses, meeting financial obligations, and ensuring that everything was done the right way, including paying taxes and complying with government requirements.
At the same time, I faced one of the most personal challenges of all—navigating pregnancy at 42 while continuing to build and sustain the business. Where many would have slowed down, I pushed forward.
On top of that, I took the important step of trademarking the company—an investment that required both time and significant financial commitment. Building a legitimate, lasting brand is not cheap, and the costs often come long before the rewards.
There were moments of exhaustion, pressure, and uncertainty—but quitting was never an option.

At RDT Care Services, we provide compassionate, reliable, and personalized in-home care designed to help individuals maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. Our work centers around supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or surgery. We offer a range of services including personal care, companionship, transportation to medical appointments, and concierge-level support tailored to each client’s unique needs.
We specialize in creating care plans that are not one-size-fits-all. Every client we serve is treated like family, and we take the time to truly understand their routines, preferences, and health requirements. Whether it’s assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, or simply being a trusted presence, our goal is to bring peace of mind to both our clients and their families.
What we are known for is our reliability, compassion, and the genuine relationships we build. Families trust us not just because we show up—but because we care. We go above and beyond to ensure our clients feel safe, respected, and valued every single day.
What I am most proud of is building this company from the ground up while maintaining a high standard of care and trust within the community. Despite the challenges, I’ve created something meaningful that truly impacts people’s lives. I am especially proud of my team—my excellent employees who share the same passion and commitment to care. They are the heart of RDT Care Services. Their dedication, professionalism, and compassion are what make our clients feel comfortable and supported, and they represent the values of this company every day.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ve always kept a very small inner circle, even within my own team, but I truly believe that everyone connected to my journey deserves credit. Every employee, every client, every friend thats has now become family and every supporter has played a role in shaping the growth of the business in one way or another. Their trust, hard work, and belief in what we’re building have all contributed to where we are today.
That said, when it comes to the financial, mental, and strategic weight of the business, that responsibility has been mine. Building this hasn’t been easy, and much of the decision-making and pressure has fallen on my shoulders. But I also believe strongly that no man is an island—no one truly stands alone.
Through it all, my greatest motivation has been my three sons. They stand with me, uplift me, and continue to be a constant source of strength and motivation. Their presence reminds me every day why I keep pushing forward.
