Hi Teonna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story started with wanting to create a space where women could feel confident ,comfortable and cared for. I became a licensed esthetician in 2021 and later became a licensed massage therapist because I’ve always had a passion for beauty , self care and helping people feel good about themselves.
Love Thy Self Beauty Bar was built from passion . I wanted it to be a private , judgement free space where women could relax, reset and leave feeling more confident .
My journey has not always been easy . I’m a mother and entrepreneur still building while balancing faith , life and business. There have been slow days and moments of doubt but my faith keeps me going . I believe when God gives you a vision , he will give you what you need to see through .
Today , I’m proud to be growing Love Thy Self Beauty Bar in Waldorf , Maryland and my goal is to help women understand that self care is not selfish its necessary.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of my biggest struggles have been building trust as a new business , balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship and continuing to invest in my business even during slower seasons . Marketing myself and helping women understand the importance of self care has also been a learning process , Through it all I’ve had to stay consistent keep my faith and trust that what I’m building has purpose .

Love Thy Self Beauty Bar is a self care business dedicated to helping women feel confident , comfortable and cared for . I specialize in Brazilian and body waxing as well as yoni steaming, providing a private , clean and judgment free environment for women to relax and take care of themselves.
What sets Love Thy Self apart is the focus on creating a safe restorative experience not just a service. I educate clients on proper aftercare, ensure their comfort during appointments and aim to make every visit a moment of self care self care and confidence building . I am most proud of building this business from the ground up , creating a space where women can prioritize themselves and sharing my passion for self care with the community .
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success means setting goals, staying committed and continuing to grow even when the journey is not easy . To me success is not only about money or accomplishments but about progress , purpose , peace and being able to make a positive impact on others.
