Hidden Gems: Meet Michele Curry-Creighton of Magical Fairy Travel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Curry-Creighton.

Hi Michele, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved traveling and planning events. My favorite vacations have been trips to Disney World and going on cruises—especially Disney cruises. So in the fall of 2020, right in the middle of the COVID pandemic, I started researching how to become a Disney travel professional. I launched my own travel company shortly after, and the rest is history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I believe every new business experiences its share of growing pains, and I was no exception. In the beginning, I struggled to build a consistent client base. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to partner with Magical Hosts, a respected travel host agency. Their guidance gave me invaluable insight into the Disney travel industry and helped me develop the knowledge and confidence needed to grow my business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As a Disney Travel Specialist, I guide clients on every step of the planning process. Whether the client is heading to Disneyland, setting sail on one of Disney’s cruise ships, or dreaming up a honeymoon vacation at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii. I love traveling, and it brings me so much joy to help others prepare for their dream vacation.

I relish the fact that anyone can enjoy what Disney has to offer, singles, couples, and families. Adults and children alike enjoy what Disney has to share, and it does not disappoint.

What most people do not know is that utilizing a Disney Travel Specialist to help with planning their vacation is free for them. Using a Disney Travel Specialist allows the client to get information as soon as the travel specialist gets it.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m a cautious risk‑taker. Starting a business comes with uncertainty, but without taking that leap, I’d never have the chance to define my own success—or learn from failure.
