Community Highlights: Meet Julie of Light Bloom Healing LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie.

Hi Julie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a child and teen I was friendly, sensitive, and smart, but would get hit with waves of depression and loneliness. As I got older, I eventually went from selling drugs, having multiple arrests for substance abuse, and being completely lost… to realizing I was a wounded healer, largely experiencing things that weren’t even mine.

I am an extremely sensitive clairsentient, clairvoyant, clairaudient, and claircognizant empath whose energy was so drained and scattered I thought I was empty, “depressed” and broken.

Now I communicate with people in comas around the country, nonverbal autistic children around the world, spirits who have passed, and the biofield of my clients for Reiki healing as I share the wisdom that we are so much more than what we’re taught, and that energetic hygiene can be the difference between “broken” and blissful.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not. I grew up in a chaotic household with hoarder conditions in a 1000sqft house in Los Angeles, with 6 of my siblings and my parents. My mother was often emotionally and physically abusive and hardly present, and my father a hardworking wounded healer in his own right.

By the time I was a teen in northern Virginia, I gave my body and energy to whoever would hold me and make me feel worthy of love. I started using drugs to try to feel okay and connected, then selling them once my parents divorced and my mom began crying daily about us being put out on the street.
I was arrested for distribution at 19, and moved to Salt Lake City to get away from my environment and help my brother take care of his kids. There was always a light in me; but I thought I was too broken to hold it. Somehow around children, being light felt natural.

I met a single dad in a support group who I fell for, then shortly after leaving that unhealthy relationship I found out I was already pregnant. I decided to raise the baby on my own, and I moved back to Northern Virginia to stay with my father for the first few years of motherhood.

As my son got older and the life pressure increased, the inner wounds still hadn’t healed. I got a job managing a bar, turned it into a music venue, and it wasn’t long before drinking and smoking became a huge issue. The universe delivered 2 more serendipitous arrests, the latter yielding a life changing experience. I found myself teaching other women in jail how to meditate, and that there was light in them being muted by sorrow and substance abuse. I realized then that I was meant to help others heal somehow.

Since then, I’ve been on a mind-blowing journey of massive self discovery—learning about my abilities and my place in this world. It has been a glorious transformation, but I still, like so many others, face the everyday challenges of being a single mom in this area. I’ve been a solo single parent for 13 years now.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Most know me simply as a Reiki Master, Medium, or Tarot reader.
I am a World Peace Reiki master teacher, focusing on vibrational fluency and understanding the subtle senses we innately have and often experience, but we so easily dismiss as random or insignificant. I teach this to my students in group classes, and have also been doing events with Sixx Cool Moms in Montgomery county for a few years now, including group tarot and sound bath experiences, mediumship dinners, and group reiki healing events.

In my 1 on 1 practice, I do transformative energy healing combining Reiki and metaphysical awareness—shedding light on why we have aches, pains, fatigue, and dis-ease by noting the metaphysical placement in that area of the body and using my Clair senses to witness the root trauma/energetic imprints pounding at the door of the physical body to be seen, loved, and released.

I also do what I call “biofield reading”, the same process that is used during my virtual reiki sessions, in which I close my eyes and am transported to the person’s energy field as if it were my own. I feel, see, hear, and understand what is in the vibrational field of the client, interpreting vibrations as feelings, images, or information.

The body emits vibrational messages of its state, what it needs, what’s blocking its natural flow of energy and innate self-healing capabilities, and what limiting beliefs or pains are holding it back from magnetizing what it desires. What I do is like being a Vibrational Interpreter.

I use this same process for mediumship with loved ones who have passed, coma communication, communication at a distance with nonverbal autistic or schizophrenic children and young adults, and communicating the thoughts, awareness, feelings, and desires of loved ones with post-medical trauma limited cognition; often appearing to not be consciously aware, but the reality being quite the opposite.

I am also known in my area for leading a group of women (currently around 135 people) which began foundationally as a monthly women’s circle group, but has expanded into a full blown community in which we support each other, witness the power of group intention/healing, go to events and gatherings together, do art and intuitive development together, and hold each other in our lightness and our heaviness.

The circle itself is intuitively led, sometimes teaching energetic hygiene, mediumship, grounding and shielding for empaths, releasing what’s no longer serving us, somatic awareness, and vibrational fluency. What’s really magical about it is that it’s not just me sharing my wisdom, it’s really allowing the group to share and realize their own gained wisdom and insight that they often don’t know is so needed by others.
