Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammi Rogers.
Hi Tammi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by theater, music, and live performances, often attending plays and concerts with my mother. That early
exposure sparked my love for the arts. I stepped into acting at 20 being in my first stage play and stayed consistent, building experience through stage work and independent films while taking on roles as an actor, director, producer, coach, crew member, speaker, and singer. In 2018, I became Resident Acting Coach for The Actors Academy DMV (formerly known as The Actors Academy Baltimore), helping actors grow in confidence, skill, and direction. I am a versatile, award-winning
performer who has been acting for almost 40 years and has consistently appeared in many local community stage plays and independent films. In 2025, I launched Tammi Rogers Industries, where I focus on helping actors present themselves well to casting through classes, coaching, and practical resources. I have also partnered with Brains Concept Studios (led by CEO, Dexter Brains) to offer an all-in-one powerhouse for entertainment services. Brains Concept Studios is a fully integrated, broad-based entertainment company and a leader in the creation, production, distribution, and marketing of all forms of entertainment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been mostly smooth, with a few bumps along the way. One ongoing challenge and blessing has been often being cast as older women in productions. I am a character actor who enjoys the work and it keeps me active in the industry, though I still look forward to playing more roles closer to my own age (late 50s) or younger. I enjoy giving my characters depth and range, no matter the age. At the end of the day, strong acting and consistency have helped keep me working in this industry and I would not trade it for anything.

Tammi Rogers Industries is a brand created to support actors at every stage, with a strong focus on building confidence, strengthening craft, and bringing clarity to how actors show up professionally. Through acting coaching, classes, and practical training on casting submissions, the brand offers guidance on headshots, resumes, reels, and overall presentation, along with tools, checklists, and learning resources. Led by an experienced actor, coach, producer, speaker, and mentor, it blends real industry experience with hands-on teaching. Launched in 2025, the brand grows from decades of acting, coaching, and production work, in partnership with Brains Concept Studios.
