Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Irene.
Hi Shannon Irene , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my career in the beauty industry over 20 years ago as a makeup artist, where I quickly realized that healthy skin is the foundation of flawless makeup. That insight led me to train at an elite skincare school in Los Angeles. After earning my license, I began working immediately as an aesthetician at a medical spa in Malibu and went on to work alongside plastic surgeons. In 2011, I opened my own practice, Shannon Irene Beauty, in Los Angeles, where I’ve treated clients ever since. Along the way, I also worked in education for a world-renowned chemical peel company, training other practitioners and participating in press. In 2021, I relocated to Maryland to be closer to family and opened my practice in Annapolis. I now enjoy building my clientele here while continuing to guide and care for long-term clients from Los Angeles.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most long-term careers, it hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road. Building a business takes time, consistency, and resilience, especially in an industry that’s always evolving. I’ve navigated challenges such as growing a loyal clientele, adapting to new technologies and treatments, and balancing the demands of running a business while maintaining a high standard of care. Relocating across the country and rebuilding in a new market was another major challenge, but it ultimately strengthened my skills and perspective. Each obstacle has helped refine my approach and reinforced my commitment to delivering thoughtful, results-driven skincare.

Shannon Irene Beauty is centered on highly personalized skincare, with a focus on helping each client achieve their individual skin goals. I offer a wide range of services, including anti-aging, acne treatment, and overall skin health and rejuvenation. What truly sets my practice apart is my customized approach—every treatment and at-home regimen is tailored to the individual, ensuring results that extend beyond the treatment room.
I’m most proud of the relationships I build with my clients and the trust we develop over time. I believe skincare is not just a service, but a form of care. My goal is to create an oasis—an escape from the outside world—where self-care and results-driven skincare come together in a thoughtful, elevated experience.
