Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
FE Salon & Wax started with idea in 2022 as I endured challenges within the corporate world and eager to get back to my passion for the beauty industry. I wanted to combine hair care, full body waxing and skin care making it a one stop shop for my guests. I have 20 years of experience as a hairstylist and 5 years of experience as a wax specialist. I’ve always had one foot in and one foot out in the beauty industry as I creative to freely express my knowledge through practical experiences, offering top tier customer service and building rapport with my guests. After 13 years in corporate, I’ve decided to re enter entrepreneurship and open my own suite located in Randallstown, MD. How I got to where I am today had it’s challenges over the past 3 years as I started in a suite and now offer at home services.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road, I struggled staying in the beauty industry as I was never patient during my hustle. I would always have one foot in which I lost a lot of clientele due to inconsistency. Now, consistency for the last 3 years as hairstylist and wax specialist, I’ve see a fruitful outcome even when business is slow.

My specialty is length retention, using products with lasting results and detailed oriented when it comes to hair removal when waxing. What sets me apart from others is my top-tier customer experience and being able to book multiple services for your beauty needs with one licensed service professional. What I’m most proud of brand-wise is my clientele if it wasn’t for them and trusting me with their services I’m not sure where I would be without them they are my Biggest Supporters.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Consistency has played the role of luck in my life and business as working through the slowest or busiest times I remind myself of why I like being apart of the beauty industry. Sticking with my business no matter the outcome I’m so proud of.
