Community Highlights: Meet Kristy Taylor of WORxK Solutions, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristy Taylor.

Hi Kristy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My professional background spans healthcare, higher education, and human resources, where I spent years working closely with students and professionals navigating career transitions, leadership growth, and pivotal decision points. Over time, I began to notice a consistent pattern: people weren’t struggling because they lacked ability, but because they lacked direction, confidence, and the right support during periods of change.

As a military veteran, resilience and adaptability were ingrained in me early. At the same time, my career path was anything but straightforward. I moved through seasons of transition that required me to question assumptions, redefine success, and rebuild with greater intention. Those moments of uncertainty became powerful teachers, shaping how I approach leadership, coaching, and personal growth today.

WORxK Solutions, LLC was born from that foundation. In its early stages, the work centered on one-on-one coaching, career resiliency, and diversity-focused events designed to help individuals gain clarity, strengthen their mindset, and move forward with purpose. As engagement increased, the work naturally expanded beyond individual coaching. We launched the WORxK Global News Magazine and the WORxK Solutions Podcast—now in its second season. Our current focus explores the intersection of behavioral agility and organizational health, covering critical topics like change management, decatastrophization in the workplace, and building emotional resilience as a team capability. We also hosted leadership and career-focused events, published the Rx for Career Success book, and created the Rx for Career Success Summit as a space for learning, connection, and momentum-building.

As these conversations deepened, it became clear that many individual challenges were closely tied to organizational environments. That insight led to the next evolution of my work. This year, WORxK Solutions expanded its focus to include organizational development, supporting leaders and teams in strengthening communication, improving workplace culture, and enhancing performance through a behavioral approach.

This shift also led to the development of the WORxK Principle™, rooted in my book The WORxK Principle™ Primer. When used alongside the DISCflex™ assessment, the framework allows us to deliver behavior-centered workshops that help teams better understand themselves, collaborate more effectively, and adapt within complex work environments.

Building on this work, we recently published The 21-Day Career Pivot Manual and launched the 21-Day Career Pivot Challenge as part of our launch initiative. We also have an upcoming book to release later this year, The P.A.C.E. Method™ Manual.

Today, I work with individuals, teams, and organizations seeking depth, not quick fixes. While my path hasn’t been linear, each phase has reinforced my commitment to helping people create careers and workplaces grounded in clarity, resilience, and meaningful impact.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. The journey has been filled with twists, pauses, and moments that required me to rethink my approach. There were times when I had to slow down, question long-held assumptions, and let go of paths that felt familiar but no longer fit. Building WORxK Solutions meant stepping away from predictable systems and learning to make decisions with confidence, even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.

One of the biggest challenges was learning how to move at a sustainable pace while navigating uncertainty. I had to balance vision with reality and accept that progress doesn’t always follow a straight line. Some seasons brought forward momentum and expansion, while others required rebuilding, refinement, and patience. Both phases played an important role in the growth of the work.

Those experiences have deeply influenced how I lead and how I serve others. They’ve shaped the way I coach, facilitate, and support individuals and organizations as they navigate change, reminding me that growth is often forged in the moments that feel most uncomfortable.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
WORxK Solutions, LLC grew from listening, really listening, to professionals who were trying to make sense of career shifts, leadership responsibilities, and changing workplace expectations. The work has always been rooted in real experiences. At its core, my business focuses on helping individuals and organizations build resilient, purpose-driven careers and cultures that actually work in practice, not just in theory.

We began with one-on-one career coaching and diversity-focused events, supporting professionals as they worked through career transitions, confidence gaps, and identity shifts. As those conversations deepened, it became clear that many of the individual struggles were connected to broader organizational dynamics. That insight led to an expanded focus. Today, WORxK Solutions operates at both the individual and organizational level.

We specialize in career branding, leadership development, mindset and behavior-based coaching, and workforce resiliency. I’m known for helping people clarify their professional story, strengthen how they show up in interviews and leadership spaces, and build confidence rooted in self-awareness and behavior, not performance alone. At the organizational level, we focus on leadership readiness, communication effectiveness, team dynamics, and building cultures that can evolve and perform under change.

What sets WORxK Solutions apart is our behavioral approach. We integrate the WORxK Principle™ alongside tools like the DISCflex™ assessment to help individuals and teams understand how behavior, mindset, and communication patterns directly impact performance. This allows us to move beyond surface-level training and into practical, behavior-based change.

From a brand perspective, I’m most proud of how intentionally the work has been developed. Through WORxK Global News Magazine, the WORxK Solutions Podcast, published books, and the Rx for Career Success Summit, we’ve built platforms that prioritize meaningful dialogue, shared learning, and practical tools. Each initiative has been developed thoughtfully over time and reflects a commitment to impact, service, and credibility rather than rapid visibility or shortcuts.

What I want readers to understand is that WORxK Solutions isn’t about quick wins or surface-level solutions. It’s about equipping people with the clarity, mindset, and behavioral tools needed to navigate careers and workplaces with purpose, resilience, and confidence.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that growth requires both intention and patience. Not every season is about visible progress, some are about learning, unlearning, and building the foundation for what comes next. I’ve learned to trust the process, stay anchored in purpose, and understand that sustainable impact is created over time, not overnight.
