Today we’d like to introduce you to Philippa Channer.
Hi Philippa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into entrepreneurship didn’t start with a grand plan or a flashy launch. It started with paying attention.
I’ve always been drawn to strategy, problem-solving, and helping people see the bigger picture. Early in my career, I worked in roles where I was often the one connecting the dots. I helped businesses clarify their message, organize their ideas, and turn scattered efforts into something more intentional and effective. Over time, I realized that what came naturally to me was something many business owners struggled with, clarity.
As I began working more closely with women entrepreneurs, a pattern became impossible to ignore. These were smart, capable women who were working hard, showing up consistently, and doing all the “right” things, yet still felt overwhelmed, uncertain, and stuck in day-to-day execution. They weren’t lacking motivation or talent. They were lacking strategic clarity and a CEO-level framework for running their business.
That realization became the foundation for Channer Consulting.
I built my business around helping women move from operating like employees in their own companies to thinking and leading like CEOs. That meant shifting from reaction to intention, from scattered marketing to strategic direction, and from short-term hustle to long-term vision. Over time, this work evolved into my signature frameworks, including the Content Clarity Canvas, my podcast, and my strategic masterminds and workshops.
Along the way, I continued to deepen my expertise through advanced business education, leadership development, and hands-on experience working with growth-stage entrepreneurs. I also built a strong community around my work, creating spaces where women could learn, think strategically, and grow together without pressure or perfection.
Today, I lead Channer Consulting with a clear focus. I help women entrepreneurs build businesses that are aligned, sustainable, and strategically sound. I believe clarity is the catalyst for confidence, and confident leadership is what allows businesses to grow in a healthy, meaningful way.
This journey is still unfolding, but everything I do now is rooted in that original insight. When women have clarity, they lead differently. And when they lead differently, everything changes.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges I faced weren’t unusual or dramatic. They were the very real, very common growing pains of building a business that is still becoming what it’s meant to be.
Early on, one of my biggest struggles was my own clarity. I knew I had something valuable to offer, but I hadn’t fully narrowed my focus or clearly defined who I was best positioned to serve. That lack of clarity naturally showed up in my messaging and marketing, which created confusion for my audience and, at times, frustration for me. I wasn’t failing. I was refining, but refinement can feel messy while you’re in it.
As my business matured, another challenge emerged. My services were constantly evolving. Not because of fear or scarcity, but because I could feel when something wasn’t quite right. Some offers worked, but didn’t go deep enough. Others delivered results, but not in the most sustainable or impactful way. I was unwilling to settle for “good enough” when I knew the work could be stronger, clearer, and more transformative for my clients.
That season required patience, discernment, and a willingness to let go of versions of my business that no longer fit, even when they were profitable or familiar. Through trial, experience, and growth, I eventually found the most aligned way to serve my clients. One that allowed me to deliver deeper impact, communicate my message clearly, and build something that finally felt cohesive from the inside out.
Those struggles didn’t derail the journey. They shaped it. They taught me that clarity isn’t something you arrive at once, it’s something you earn through experience, reflection, and the courage to keep adjusting until the work truly fits.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Channer Consulting is a strategic marketing and leadership consultancy designed for women entrepreneurs who are ready to stop reacting to their business and start leading it.
At its core, my work helps women move from employee-mode into CEO-mode. That means shifting out of constant execution, scattered marketing, and decision fatigue, and into clarity, structure, and intentional growth. I specialize in helping growth-stage, service-based business owners clarify their message, align their offers, and build marketing strategies that actually support the life and business they’re trying to build.
What I’m best known for is helping clients slow down long enough to think strategically. In a space that often pushes hustle, trends, and one-size-fits-all tactics, my approach is rooted in clarity first. Before content calendars, before platforms, before promotion, we focus on direction. When women know where they’re going, the marketing becomes simpler, more confident, and far more effective.
What sets Channer Consulting apart is that I don’t just teach marketing tactics. I help women think like CEOs. Through my frameworks, workshops, podcast, and mastermind experiences, clients learn how to make decisions, prioritize intentionally, and lead their business instead of being consumed by it. The result is not just better marketing, but stronger leadership and more sustainable growth.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the consistency and integrity of my work. What clients experience in a workshop, a podcast episode, or a private session is the same voice, values, and level of care they’ll experience everywhere else. My brand is built on trust, clarity, and accessibility. High-level strategy without intimidation, and support without dependency.
What I want readers to know is that Channer Consulting isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters. My services, including strategic workshops, masterminds, and consulting, are designed to help women build businesses that are aligned, focused, and built to last. When clarity is in place, confidence follows, and confident leadership changes everything.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that often surprises people is that outside of strategy sessions, workshops, and CEO conversations, I’m a very committed gamer.
Gaming is actually a big part of our family life. My husband and I, along with our three teenagers, all play video games. It’s one of the ways we genuinely connect, unwind, and spend time together. It’s not just a hobby we tolerate for the kids. It’s something all five of us enjoy.
Together, my husband and I also run another brand called Confident Gamers, which brings that love of gaming and community together for a greater purpose. Through Confident Gamers, our family participates in Extra Life every year, a fundraising event that supports Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. We commit to a 24-hour live-stream gaming marathon, and every member of our family participates each year.
What most people don’t realize is how much this influences my work. Gaming has taught me a lot about strategy, patience, adaptability, teamwork, and long-term thinking. You don’t win by button-mashing. You win by understanding the system, learning from failure, and staying focused on the objective. Those lessons translate directly into how I approach business and leadership.
At the end of the day, that balance matters to me. I care deeply about building meaningful businesses, but I also care about family, community, and using what we love to make a positive impact. That combination. Strategy, purpose, and play. Is very much who I am.
